ROME — Evan Bertone went five and two-third innings allowing one run on three hits as the Generals halted Hornell’s even-game win streak. The right-hander set down nine on strikes and picked up his first win of the season. Joseph Castellanos jump-started the Generals offense in the second with a single that plated Evan Delaney as the Generals tacked on two runs. Carmine Giordano finished with two hits.

SYRACUSE — Martin Tolson Jr pitched seven scoreless innings allowing six hits as the Generals snapped the Cats 10-game win streak to complete a sweep of both division leaders. The right-hander fanned five and picked up the victory. Alex Wright got the Generals offense going with a run-scoring single in the fourth. Cory Krolikowski finished with two hits for the Salt Cats.

SHERRILL — Tyler Schmidt finished with two hits including a two-run home run in the top of the third as the Crush held on to win their second game in a row. Josh Reuter finished with two hits. Jesse Sustachek went seven innings allowing two runs on six hits. The right-hander finished with four strikeouts and picked up his third win of the season. Branden Hance pitched two scoreless innings to pick up the save.

WELLSVILLE — TJ Lanning went 3-for-5 with two RBI. Andrew Bayard finished with two hits including a two-run home run in the third as they tacked on six runs to cruise past the Nitros. Jordan Brown tossed eight innings allowing four runs on fourteen hits. The right-hander fanned four and picked up his second win of the season. Ryan Grieco and Cole Tracy each finished with three hits apiece for the Nitros.

SYRACUSE — Daniel Frawley went 2-for-3 including a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth as the Spartans move up a game behind first place Salt Cats in the Eastern Division. Chris Schad finished with two hits. Sam Spadafore tossed seven innings allowing one run on six hits. The right-hander set down nine on strikes and picked up his first win of the season.

OLEAN — Mike Magnanti (Greece Athena) went 3-for-4 including a walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth that plated Isaac Porter as the Oilers have won three in a row. Sam Vilk finished with three hits including a two-run-scoring double in the eighth to erase a one-run deficit. Kirby McMullen finished with two hits including a single in the eighth that plated two.
