LITTLE FALLS, NY– Junior Brandt Holland (University of North Alabama) hit a grand slam to help the Dutchmen win game one. Sophomores Lucas Terwilliger (SUNY Adelphi) and Russ Olive (University of Massachusetts-Lowell) each knocked in two runs for the DiamondDawgs.

MOHAWK VALLEY DIAMONDDAWGS (24-10) 2 in 7
LITTLE FALLS, NY– Holland and freshman Nick Estrella (Azusa Pacific University) combined for four hits and four RBI as the Dutchmen took two from the East Division’s second-place club. Junior Sean Boyle (Dallas Baptist University) gave up one run on seven hits and one walk with two strikeouts in four innings. Sophomore Douglas Molnar (Wagner University) threw three scoreless innings for the DiamondDawgs, letting up three hits and fanning one.

ONONDAGA FLAMES (17-20) 2 in 7
ONONDAGA, NY– Sophomore Adam Gallagher (Ithaca College) drove in both of the Flames runs in the game one win. Sophomore Evan Reichel (St. Lawrence University) held the Trail Blazers to one run on six hits and one walk with three strikeouts. Sophomore Dugan Darnell (Adrian College) allowed two runs on three hits and four walks, striking out two.

ONONDAGA FLAMES (17-21) 5 in 7
ONONDAGA, NY– Junior Riley Schaefer (Texas Lutheran University) knocked in three runs on two hits for the Trail Blazers, who split the doubleheader with the Flames. Freshman Devin Banks (Mohawk Valley Community College) allowed one run, one hit and two walks, setting down four by strikeout in two-and-one-third innings of relief for the Trail Blazers.

AMSTERDAM, NY– Freshman Louie Varland (Concordia University-St. Paul) fanned eight and let up three runs on eight hits and one walk as the Blue Sox won game one. Freshman Ben Anderson (Binghamton University) surrendered four runs (two earned), six hits and two walks, striking out four in five-and-one-third innings.

AMSTERDAM, NY– Junior John Valente (St. John’s University) led the Mohawks with three RBI, helping them split the doubleheader. Freshman Andrew Saalfrank (Indiana University) earned the win, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk with three strikeouts in five innings for the Mohawks.
JAMESTOWN JAMMERS (28-12) 3
NEWARK PILOTS (15-26) 7
NEWARK, NY– Sophomore Hunter Wells (Tyler Junior College) plated three runs with three hits, leading the Pilots to a fourth straight win.
GENEVA RED WINGS (24-16) 9
ONEONTA OUTLAWS (11-24) 8
ONEONTA, NY– Sophomore Will Simoneit went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored for the Red Wings, who have won six of their last 10. Sophomore Matt Tsukroff (Binghamton University) had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored for the Outlaws.
GLENS FALLS DRAGONS (12-26) 3
SAUGERTIES STALLIONS (16-20) 6
SAUGERTIES, NY– Sophomore Jack Gonzalez (Stetson University) and incoming freshman Tyler Kelder (St. Bonaventure University) both went 1-for-4 with two RBI for the Stallions, who handed the Dragons a third straight loss. Incoming freshman Avery Short (Siena College) kept the Dragons to three runs (one earned) on four hits and five walks in five-and-two-thirds innings pitched. Sophomore Lake Robertson (William Carey University) allowed one run on four hits and one walk while striking out one in relief for the Dragons.
