Zack Greinke surrendered three runs on eight hits and three walks with three strikeouts in five innings for the Diamondbacks.

ATLANTA – Mike Montgomery struck out five and allowed one earned on two hits in six innings pitched and launched a home run in the fifth inning for the Cubs, who extended their winning streak to six games. Javier Baez and Tommy La Stella each sent out a home run a piece for Chicago. R.A. Dickey eliminated five on strikes and gave up four earned on seven hits in seven innings pitched for the Braves.
Minnesota Twins 6 New York Yankees 1
MINNESOTA – Jose Berrios set down five on strikes and allowed one earned run in 6.2 innings pitched for the Twins, who won the series with the Yankees. Miguel Sano delivered a three-run home run in the second inning. Jordan Montgomery gave up six earned on seven hits in six innings pitched for the Yankees.

BALTIMORE – Trey Mancini knocked in three runs for the Orioles, who have now won three straight games. Kevin Gausman fanned eight over six innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks for the Orioles.
Milwaukee Brewers 2 Pittsburgh Pirates 3 in 10
PITTSBURGH – Max Moroff delivered a walk-off single in the 10th inning, giving the Pirates a fourth straight win. Gerrit Cole set down 10 by strikeout, giving up one run and six hits in seven innings pitched. Zach Davies kept the Pirates to one unearned run, eight hits and one walk, striking out four in seven innings for the Brewers.

NEW YORK – Yoenis Cespedes and Jose Reyes each went 2-for-4 with two RBI as the Mets won for just the fourth time in their last ten games. Jacob deGrom held the Cardinals to one run on seven hits and one walk with three strikeouts in 6.2 innings. Magneuris Sierra led the Cardinals with three hits and two RBI.

MIAMI – Nick Williams went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two triples as the Phillies have won two in a row. Nick Pivetta set down four on strikes and allowed three earned on five hits in 5.1 innings pitched for Philadelphia. Giancarlo Stanton and Christian Yelich each crushed a home run for the Marlins.

BOSTON – Dustin Pedroia contributed three RBI for the Red Sox, giving them back-to-back wins. Drew Pomeranz let up one unearned run, three hits and five walks in 6.2 innings, fanning three.

CHICAGO – Corey Seager went 3-for-4 with three RBI to lead the Dodgers to an 11th straight win. Kenta Maeda lasted five innings and gave up one run, five hits and one walk while striking out three for the Dodgers.

HOUSTON – James Paxton delivered seven innings of six hits and seven strike outs for the Mariners, who have won their last six out of seven. Ben Gamel slapped a home run and an RBI for Seattle. Charlie Morton struck out five and gave up four earned on four hits in 6.2 innings pitched for the Astros.

KANSAS CITY – Brandon Moss produced two RBI, three hits and scored the game-winning run for the Royals, who sit two games back of first in the AL Central. Jason Hammel lasted 6.1 innings for the Royals, allowing one run on four hits and one walk, striking out two. Mikie Mahtook hit a two-run home run for the Tigers. Justin Verlander went seven innings for the Tigers, giving up two runs on six hits and one walk, punching out eight.

COLORADO – Nolan Arenado went 5-for-6 and launched three home runs and drove in seven for the Rockies, who scored in every inning but the eighth. Jon Gray fanned seven on strikes and gave up four earned on seven hits in six innings pitched for Colorado. Clayton Richard allowed 10 earned runs on 14 hits in 3.2 innings pitched for the Padres.

OAKLAND – Sonny Gray set down six on strikes and allowed two earned runs in 6.1 innings pitched for the Athletics, who ended a two game losing skid. Matt Joyce smacked a home run and drove in two RBI for Oakland. Jacob Faria earned his first loss of the season on four strike outs, four earned on six hits in five innings pitched for the Rays.

LOS ANGELES – Mike Trout and CJ Cron combined for three hits and four RBI for the Angels, handing the Nationals a third loss in the last 10 games. Alex Meyer punched out seven in seven innings, allowing one hit and one walk for the Angels.
