GENESEE — AJ Nitzschke went 3-for-4 including a two-run-scoring single in the third as the Rapids took game one of a doubleheader. Travis Ralls finished with three hits including a solo home run in the first. Josh Hayner went 2-for-4 including a ground rule double in the fourth that plated Riley Brandvold. Jon Young tossed five innings allowing one run on three hits. The right-hander fanned three and picked up the win.

GENESEE — Victor Cavalieri went six innings allowing one run on five hits as the Rapids completed the sweep. The right-hander set down four on strikes and picked up his second win of the season. Jonah Moore closed the game fanning one and picked up his first save of the season. AJ Nitzschke finished with two hits including a run-scoring triple in the third. TJ Lanning finished with three hits for the Ridgemen.

SYRACUSE — Brandon Cornelius went 3-for-4 including a single in the third that plated Alexander Ferlenda, and the Salt Cats won their third straight game. Patrick Maybach pitched seven scoreless innings allowing two hits with eight strikeouts. The left-hander retired eight batters in a row and picked up his second win of the season. Maxwell Bain tossed two innings allowing no hits and set down three on strikes as he picked up the save.

ROME — Jameson Carey highlighted the seventh with a two-run-scoring single as the Generals have won four in a row. Reliever Martin Tolson Jr tossed three scoreless innings allowing two hits. The right-hander fanned three and picked up his first win of the season. Max Larimore went six and third innings allowing five runs on six hits for the Nitros. The right-hander set down four on strikes.
