SHERRILL — Michael Wroth went 2-for-4 including two home runs as the Silversmiths moved within a game of first place Cortland in the Eastern Division. Craig Sandford connected on a solo shot in the sixth. Jason Hellwig went eight innings allowing two runs on four hits with one strikeout. Jesse Sustachek went five innings surrendering five runs on four hits with four strikeouts for the Crush.

WELLSVILLE — Cory Krolikowski went 2-for-4 including a home run in the top of eighth as the Salt Cats won their fifth straight. Brandon Cornelius also homered to lead off the fourth inning. Dan Greaves tossed eight innings allowing one run on three hits. The right-hander fanned four to pick up his third win of the season. Ryan Kosmynka finished with two hits for the Nitros.

HORNELL — Mike Wick went 2-for-2 including a two-out triple in the first that plated two as the Dodgers took game one of a doubleheader. Michael Young and Connor Bailey also finished with two hits apiece. Keaton Conner went six innings allowing one run on eight hits. The right-hander finished with five strikeouts to pick up his third win of the season. Allen Murphy went 2-for-3 for the Oilers including a single in the seventh that plated Mike Magnanti.

HORNELL — Reid VanScoter (Livonia) pitched six innings allowing two runs on four hits as the Dodgers took game two of a doubleheader. The left-hander fanned eight to pick up his first win of the season. Connor Bailey went 2-for-2 including a double in the bottom of the fourth that plated Jared Kapturasky. Andrew McCoy finished with two hits including a double in the sixth that plated Erich Werner.

SYRACUSE — Jack Paulson had a game-winning single in the eleventh inning as the Spartans moved within a game and a half of first place Cortland. Chris Schad went 2-for-4 including a game-tying RBI single in the tenth. Micah Riddick finished with two hits including a home run in the fourth. Michael Bubniak tossed eight innings allowing two runs on three hits. The left-hander fanned eight.
