COLORADO – Taijuan Walker set down eight on strikes in six innings pitched as the Diamondbacks won for the 12th time in their last 14 games. Brandon Drury went 4-for-6 and drove in four out of his six RBI in a 10-run fourth inning. Jeff Hoffman let up nine earned runs in three-and-two-thirds innings pitched for the Rockies.

BALTIMORE – Carlos Carrasco registered 10 strike outs in six innings pitched as the Indians won for the seventh time in their last eight games. Francisco Lindor homered and drove in three RBI for the Indians. Kevin Gausman struck out nine in five-and-two-thirds innings pitched for the Orioles.

PHILADELPHIA – Michael Wacha allowed two earned runs and eliminated three on strikes in four innings pitched as the Cardinals won two in a row. Tommy Pham went 2-for-5 with two home runs and two RBI. Nick Pivetta set down 10 in six innings pitched for the Phillies.

MIAMI – Dan Straily mowed down six on strikes in six innings pitched as the Marlins remained in second place in the NL East. Giancarlo Stanton‘s RBI single to left gave the Marlins the one run win. Max Scherzer punched out 11 on strikes in eight innings pitched for the Nationals. Scherzer took a no-hitter into the eighth.

TAMPA – Erasmo Ramirez erased six on strikes and allowed two earned runs in five -and-one-third innings as the Rays have won their last four of five. Trevor Plouffe and Taylor Featherston each homered for the Rays. Tim Adleman struck out seven in five innings pitched for the Reds.

MILWAUKEE – Junior Guerra fanned six and let up three earned in six innings pitched as the Brewers won for the first time in three games. Domingo Santana went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI for the Brewers. Trevor Williams struck out seven in six innings pitched for the Pirates.

TEXAS – Joe Biagini punched out five and gave up four earned runs in five-and-two-thirds innings as the Blue Jays have won three out of their last four. Darwin Barney connected on a home run in the first inning for the Blue Jays. Tyson Ross surrendered seven earned runs in three innings pitched for the Rangers.

CHICAGO – Miguel Diaz had to leave the game with a right forearm strain and only pitched two-and-one-third innings as the Padres snapped a three game losing skid. Erick Aybar smashed a solo home run for the Padres. Eddie Butler struck out four and allowed one earned in four innings pitched.

MINNESOTA – Jose Berrios fanned eight and allowed two earned runs in eight innings pitched as the Twins remained a game and half back of the AL Central-leading Indians. Miguel Sano launched a home run in the third inning for the Twins. David Holmberg allowed two earned runs and struck out four in three-and-one-third innings pitched for the White Sox.

KANSAS CITY – Ian Kennedy struck out four in four-and-two-thirds innings pitched as the Royals have won nine out of their last 11 games. Salvador Perez launched a grand slam in the eighth inning for the Royals. Drew Pomeranz fanned five on strikes in six-and-one-third innings pitched for the Red Sox.

LOS ANGELES – Rich Hill mowed down eight on strikes in five innings pitched as the Dodgers extended their winning streak to six games. Yasmani Grandal smacked two home runs and drove in two RBI for the Dodgers. Tyler Pill gave up five earned and struck out six in six innings pitched for the Mets.
