NYCBL: Roundup: Becker leads Oilers to third straight victory; VanScoter debuts in style for Hornell

HORNELL — Livonia native Reid VanScoter allowed two hits over five scoreless innings, and Hornell won its fifth straight. VanScoter fanned nine including three strikeouts to retire the side in the first inning. Michael Young got the Dodgers offense going in the sixth with a two-run double. Hornell went on to score three in the inning. Jared Kapturasky went 2-for-4 including a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth.

Rochester Ridgemen (3-9) 0
ROCHESTER — Gunner Becker pitched eight scoreless innings allowing just one hit and fanning seven as the Oilers won their third straight game. The right-hander retired the first seven batters he faced. Chris Wastchak and Allen Murphy went 2-for-4 with an RBI apiece as the Oilers improved to 4-1 against Rochester this season.
