UTICA, NY– Freshman Jeremiah Burke (Georgetown University) held the Blue Sox, who have now lost nine straight, to one run on five hits and struck out one, giving the Dutchmen a sixth straight win. Sophomore Jared Tietgen (Rio Hondo Community College) allowed four runs on three runs and four walks with one strikeout in two-and-two-thirds innings.

LITTLE FALLS, NY– Freshman Jake Walker (University of Rhode Island) earned the win for the Trail Blazers, keeping them in fifth place in the West Division, throwing five innings and giving up two runs on six hits and three walks, striking out four. Sophomore Jonathan McKinney (Southern Union State Community College) also tossed five innings, surrendering four runs on seven hits and three walks with four strikeouts.

AMSTERDAM, NY– Junior Luke Petterson (University of Minnesota) and sophomore Jack Gonzalez (Stetson University) each drove in two runs for the Stallions, tying them with the Mohawks for third in the East Division. Freshman Nick Massa (Manhattan University) went six-and-one-third innings, letting up two runs, four hits and three walks, fanning five. Sophomore Thomas Lane (Boston College) nearly matched Massa, throwing six innings and giving up four runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts.

SYRACUSE, NY– Freshman Stephen Bennett (Canisius College) plated three runs and sophomore Mike Carey (Ithaca College) knocked in two as the Flames leapfrog the Pioneers in the West Division standings. Freshman Andrew Orzel (Wofford College) had three RBI on two hits for the Pioneers.

NEWARK, NY– Sophomore Justin Etts (NJIT) knocked home two on two hits to help the Red Wings stay in second place in the West Division. Freshman Slater O’Brien (Saint Joseph’s University (Pa.)) provided four-and-one-third innings of work for the Red Wings, allowing four runs, six hits and three walks, adding three strikeouts. Sophomore Andy Reed (Elmira College/Fairport) pitched one scoreless inning in relief with two hits let up. Sophomore Tanner Huddleston (Jones County Junior College) also brought in two runs with two hits for the Pilots. Junior Adam Donovan (DeSales University) was tagged for five runs (three earned) on six hits and three walks, fanning three in the loss.

JAMESTOWN, NY– Junior Jimmy Standohar (Mercyhurst University) went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the Jammers’ seventh consecutive win. Sophomore Christian Young (Niagara County Community College) and freshman Kyle Backofen (University of Louisiana-Monroe) combined to go six scoreless innings, allowing two hits, one walk, and setting down eight hitters by strikeout. Freshman Josh Winkler (Northeastern University) gave up six runs on five hits and three walks, striking out two.
