NBA Finals: Durant hits dagger; Warriors one win away

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 118 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 113 (GSW LEADS 3-0)

CLEVELAND, OH – Kevin Durant sank a 3-point dagger and broke the hearts of the Cleveland faithful with 45 seconds left to give the Warriors a 114-113 lead en route to a 3-0 series lead. Durant finished with 31 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Klay Thompson added 30 points. Stephen Curry chipped in 26 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.

The Cavs had all the momentum heading into the final period as they outscored the Dubs 33-22 in the third quarter. But Golden State responded and outscored Cleveland 29-19 in the fourth including an 11-0 run to close out the game.

LeBron James gave it everything he had and racked up 39 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists in 46 minutes for the Cavs. Kyrie Irving dropped 38 points on 16-of-29 shooting from the field. J.R. Smith put up 16 points. Kevin Love had nine points and 13 rebounds.

The Golden State Warriors are one game away from being the first team in NBA history to go a perfect 16-0 and sweep the entire NBA playoffs.

Game 4 is on Friday at 9 p.m., as the Warriors look to bring home their second championship in three years.
