New York Yankees (25-16) 3
Tampa Bay Rays (23-23) 2
ST. PETERSBURG– Aaron Judge made arguably the game saving play for the Yankees after making a full extension dive on the right field warning track to take away a tying extra base hit from Evan Longoria. At the plate, Didi Gregorius had himself a 4-for-4 day including an RBI single while Brett Gardner surpassed his 2016 total for home runs with a two run go-ahead shot. CC Sabathia went five innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk for New York. With the victory, he has won consecutive starts for the first time in over a year. In three starts against Baltimore this season, Estrada is now 1-0 with a 1.33 ERA. Toronto struck early after an error and a single allowed Devon Travis to launch a three run home run in the first inning off of Wade Miley. That is all they would get off Miley though as he went seven innings surrendering just those three runs (zero earned) on six hits. Baltimore’s lone run came off the bat of Adam Jones who hit his 124th home run at Camden Yards which tied Rafael Palmeiro for the most in the ballpark’s history.
Boston Red Sox (22-21) 12
Oakland Athletics (20-24) 3
OAKLAND– The Red Sox starting lineup featured every player getting at least one hit and eight of those nine driving in at least one run. Christian Vazquez and Hanley Ramirez sparked the offense with three hits apiece while Mitch Moreland homered in his third consecutive game. Eduardo Rodriguez nearly went the distance for Boston, pitching eight innings while allowing three runs and striking out eight. Countering Rodriguez on the mound was Andrew Triggs who struggled in his start. In five-and-one-third innings, he was tagged for six runs on eight hits and three walks. However, Oakland’s defense struggled just as mightily as they committed three errors and now have a major league leading 42.
Cleveland Indians (23-19) 8
Houston Astros (29-15) 6
HOUSTON– Yan Gomes tied a career high with five RBI to power the Indians to a sweep over the American League leading Astros. Danny Salazar got the start, lasting five-and-two-third innings and giving up three runs to go along with seven strikeouts. For Houston, all of their runs came via the long ball as four different Astros went deep. However, the home runs would not be enough due to Joe Musgrove‘s outing. In his shortest start of the season thus far (3+ innings), he gave up eight hits and seven runs.
Texas Rangers (24-21) 5
Detroit Tigers (21-21) 2
DETROIT– It was another party at Napoli’s as Mike Napoli went 2-for-3 with a home run over the center field wall as the Rangers got the series win. Relieving him was Mike Minor who tossed one-and-one-third scoreless innings to earn his first win since 2014. Miguel Sano had two hits and drove in three runs for the Twins. Los Angeles Angels (23-23) 12
New York Mets (18-24) 5
NEW YORK– After getting intentionally walked in the first inning, Mike Trout made the Mets pay for pitching to him as he homered, doubled, drew two walks, scored twice, drove in three runs and stole a base in the Angels’ slugfest win. Also homering were Andrelton Simmons, Jeffrey Marte and CJ Cron. Jesse Chavez was on the hill for Los Angeles, hurling five-and-two-thirds innings while letting up five runs on seven hits. The Mets tried to claw their way back into the game after three different players including Jay Bruce hit a home run but to no avail. Tommy Milone‘s poor outing proved to be too much to overcome. In just one-and-one-third innings, he was lit up for a career high eight runs (seven earned) and three dingers.
Washington Nationals (26-17) 3
Atlanta Braves (18-23) 2
ATLANTA– Stephen Strasburg put an end to the Nationals’ four-game losing streak after striking out eleven batters and allowing just two runs in seven-and-two-thirds innings. In his last nine starts against the Braves, Strasburg is now 7-1. Known as a weakness, the bullpen held strong for Washington as Koda Glover got the final four outs for the save. In his Atlanta debut, Matt Adams struggled at the dish going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts and a ninth-inning double play. Jaime Garcia fell victim to tough luck as he pitched eight strong innings giving up three runs with just one of them earned to go along with eight strikeouts.
Los Angeles Dodgers (26-19) 6
Miami Marlins (15-28) 3
LOS ANGELES– Adrian Gonzalez found his rhythm after struggling in his first two games off the disabled list as he had his first three hit game of the season and drove in three runs for the Dodgers. Also suffering his share of injuries over the years, Brandon McCarthy had the looks of an ace on the mound. After shutting down the first 14 batters, he proceeded to surrender only one run on three hits in six innings of work. Former Dodger, AJ Ellis, hit an RBI single in his return back to Los Angeles. Taking the hill for the Marlins was Vance Worley who was making his team debut after spending the beginning of the season in Triple-A. In four innings of work, Worley allowed four runs and six hits while striking out two.
San Diego Padres (16-30) 5
Arizona Diamondbacks (26-19) 1

Clayton Richard pitched a gem for San Diego in the fourth complete game of his career letting up one run while striking out six and not allowing a walk. At the plate, Richard also hit an RBI single in a three run fifth inning. The righty’s only mistake came when Chris Iannetta connected for a solo shot in his return from the seven-day concussion disabled list. With the exception of the fifth inning, Zack Godley pitched well for the Diamondbacks as his final stat line read, seven innings pitched with three runs allowed on eight hits and a walk.
St. Louis Cardinals (22-19) 8

Joey Votto drove in three of Cincinnati’s four runs and scored a run. Bronson Arroyo lasted five-and-one-third innings, surrendering six runs on nine hits including four home runs.
Pittsburgh Pirates (20-24) 1
Philadelphia Phillies (15-26) 0
PITTSBURGH–In a game where runs were hard to come by, the Pirates brought one home in the sixth inning when David Freese got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. For Chad Kuhl and the Pittsburgh relievers, that would be all the run support that they needed. Kuhl ate up five innings, allowing one hit while striking out five before handing it over to the bullpen who gave up just two additional hits. In his return back from the disabled list, Aaron Nola gave Philadelphia something to be optimistic about. The 23 year old right hander let up one run and struck out five in seven innings pitched.
