WASHINGTON WIZARDS 109 ATLANTA HAWKS 101 (WAS LEADS 2-0)
WASHINGTON – John Wall earned “M-V-P!” chants as he carried the Wizards (49-33) with 32 points and nine assists. Backcourt mate Bradley Beal added 31 points. Marcin Gortat chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Paul Millsap had 27 points and 10 rebounds for the Hawks (43-39). Dennis Schroder and Tim Hardaway Jr. each scored 23 and 19 points, respectively.
HOUSTON ROCKETS 115 OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER 111 (HOU LEADS 2-0)
HOUSTON – James Harden dropped 35 points and handed out eight assists to lead the Rockets (55-27) to a 2-0 lead against his former team. Eric Gordon and Lou Williams chipped in 22 and 21 points off the bench. Clint Capela grabbed 10 rebounds and scored seven points.
Russell Westbrook, who just set an NBA record with 42 triple-doubles in a season, earned yet another triple-double with 51 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds for the Thunder (47-35).
GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 110 PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS 81 (GSW LEADS 2-0)
OAKLAND – Stephen Curry led the Warriors (67-15) with 19 points, six rebounds and six assists. Fellow ‘Splash Brother’ Klay Thompson chipped in 16 points. Draymond Green added 12 rebounds, 10 assists and six points. JaVale McGee and Ian Clark scored 15 and 13 points off the bench, respectively.
Maurice Harkless had a team-high 15 points and eight rebounds. for the Blazers (41-41). Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum (Lehigh) cooled off significantly from Game 1, as they managed just 12 and 11 points, respectively.
