Spurs prevail in overtime against the Grizzlies

San Antonio Spurs 95  Memphis Grizzlies 89 (OT)

SAN ANTONIO – Kawhi Leonard registered a double-double with 32 points and 12 rebounds as the Spurs (60-17) won for the eighth time in their last nine games.

Zach Randolph recorded a double-double off the bench with 18 points and 16 rebounds, but the Grizzlies (42-36) dropped their second straight.

The Grizzlies held a 84-82 lead with two seconds left in regulation when LaMarcus Aldridge had the ball in his hands and drilled the game tying shot to send it to overtime. The Spurs allowed only five points in the extra time, outscoring the Grizzlies 11-5.

Indiana Pacers 108  Toronto Raptors 90

INDIANA – Paul George recorded a double-double with 35 points and 10 rebounds as the Pacers (38-40) snapped a four-game losing streak. Jeff Teague added 20 points and six assists. DeMar DeRozan dropped a team-high 27 points, but the Raptors (47-31) lost for the first time in three games.

Cleveland Cavaliers 122  Orlando Magic 102

CLEVELAND – Kevin Love (28) and Kyrie Irving (24) combined for 52 points as the the Cavaliers (50-27) won their third straight. LeBron James registered a triple-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Evan Fournier scored a team high 21 points, but the Magic (27-51) fell for the fifth straight time.

Washington Wizards 118  Charlotte Hornets 111

WASHINGTON – John Wall scored 23 points and dished out 13 assists as the Wizards (47-31) stopped a three-game skid. Bradley Beal chipped in 19 points, handed out four assists and took away three steals. Kemba Walker netted 37 points, but the Hornets (36-42) lost for the first time in four games. Brian Roberts (Dayton) scored two points and grabbed a rebound in 11 minutes played off the bench.

Brooklyn Nets 141  Philadelphia 76ers 118

PHILADELPHIA – Brook Lopez and Jeremy Lin scored a team-high 16 points a piece as the Nets (19-59) won their third in a row. Andrew Nicholson (St. Bonaventure) scored two points in nine minutes played off the bench. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot dropped 19 points, but the 76ers (28-50) lost for their fourth straight.

New York Knicks 100  Chicago Bulls 91

NEW YORK – Carmelo Anthony netted 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and the Knicks (30-48) won for the third time in their last five games. Maurice Ndour added a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Jimmy Butler (26) and Nikola Mirotic (21) combined for 47 points, but the Bulls (38-40) four-game winning streak was snapped.

Denver Nuggets 134  New Orleans Pelicans 131

NEW ORLEANS – Danilo Gallinari (28) and Gary Harris (23) combined for 51 points as the Nuggets (37-40) have won two straight. DeMarcus Cousins recorded a double-double with 41 points and 14 rebounds, but the Pelicans (33-45) have lost two in a row. Anthony Davis totaled a team high 41 points.

Oklahoma City Thunder 110  Milwaukee Bucks 79

OKAHOMA CITY – Russell Westbrook collected his 41st triple-double of the season, tying the most triple-doubles in a season by Oscar Robertson. The Thunder (44-33) ended a two game losing skid. Enis Kanter scored a team high 17 points off the bench. Giannis Antetokounmpo notched a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, but the Bucks (40-38) have lost two in a row.

Utah Jazz 106  Portland Trail Blazes 87

UTAH – Gordon Hayward (30) and Rudy Gobert (20) combined 50 points as the Jazz (48-30) have won five out of their last seven games. C.J. McCollum (Lehigh) scored a team high 25 points and grabbed six rebounds, but the Trail Blazers (38-40) fell for the second straight time.

Golden State Warriors 121  Minnesota Timberwolves 107

OAKLAND – Klay Thompson dropped 41 points going seven for 14 from beyond the arc as the Warriors (64-14) extended their winning streak to 12 games. Stephen Curry added 19 point and nine assists. Andrew Wiggins (24) and Karl-Anthony Towns (21) combined for 45 points, but the Timberwolves (31-46) have lost two of three.

Sacramento Kings 98  Dallas Mavericks 87

SACRAMENTO – Buddy Hield scored 16 points, grabbed four rebounds and handed out three assists as the Kings (31-47) have won two in a row.  Langston Galloway (Saint Joseph’s) netted 15 points, collected seven rebounds and dished out an assist in 37 minutes played as a starter. Nerlens Noel scored nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds, but the Mavericks (32-45) have lost six of eight.
