NBA Roundup: Carter passes Allen. Warriors stun Spurs, and the Heat torch the Knicks

MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES 110 INDIANA PACERS 97

MEMPHIS – Vince Carter moved past Ray Allen for 22nd on the all-time scoring list in the third quarter. The eight-time all-star turned back the clock to finish with 21 points and eight rebounds for the Grizzlies (41-34). Mike Conley went off for a game-high 36 points including a career-high seven 3-pointers to go along with six assists and four steals.

Paul George dropped 22 points for the Pacers (37-38). Thaddeus Young chipped in with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Memphis snapped a four-game losing streak, and Indiana lost for the fourth time in five games.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 110 SAN ANTONIO SPURS 98

SAN ANTONIO – Stephen Curry scored 29 points, Klay Thompson added 23 as the Splash Brothers helped the Warriors (61-14) rally all the way back from a 22-point first quarter deficit. Curry also dished out 11 assists. Kawhi Leonard had 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Spurs (57-17).

MIAMI HEAT 105 NEW YORK KNICKS 88

NEW YORK – Goran Dragic helped the Heat (37-38) eliminate the Knicks (28-47) from playoff contention for the fourth straight season with 20 points and nine assists. James Johnson added 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks. Kristaps Porzingis had 20 points and eight rebounds for New York.

ATLANTA HAWKS 99 PHILADELPHIA 76ers 92

PHILADELPHIA – Dwight Howard showed flashes of his dominant self with 22 points and 20 rebounds for the Hawks (39-36). Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kent Bazemore scored 19 points apiece. Richaun Holmes had 25 points and eight rebounds for the Sixers (28-47).

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER 114 ORLANDO MAGIC 106

ORLANDO – Russell Westbrook posted yet another triple-double – 57 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists for the Thunder (43-31). Enes Kanter added 17 points and 10 rebounds. Evan Fournier dropped 24 points for the Magic (27-48).

MILWAUKEE BUCKS 103 BOSTON CELTICS 100

BOSTON – Giannis Antetokounmpo paced the Bucks (39-36) with 22 points, nine rebounds, three steals and three blocks. Khris Middleton added 19 points, six rebounds and five assists. Isaiah Thomas dropped 32 points for the Celtics (48-27).

CHARLOTTE HORNETS 110 TORONTO RAPTORS 106

TORONTO – Marco Belinelli led the Hornets (34-41) with 21 points. Kemba Walker added 19 points. Marvin Williams chipped in 18 points and 12 rebounds. DeMar DeRozan compiled 28 points, eight assists and six rebounds for the Raptors (45-30).

NEW ORLEANS PELICANS 121 DALLAS MAVERICKS 118

NEW ORLEANS – The dynamic duo of Anthony Davis (30 points, 13 rebounds) and DeMarcus Cousins (29 points, 16 rebounds and six assists) powered the Pelicans (32-43) to their seventh win in their last 10 games. Dirk Nowitzki had 23 points and seven rebounds for the Mavs (31-43).

UTAH JAZZ 112 SACRAMENTO KINGS 82

SACRAMENTO – Gordon Hayward kept the Jazz (46-29) in tune with 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Rudy Gobert added 16 points and 15 rebounds. Ben McLemore scored 22 points for the Kings (29-46).

LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 133 WASHINGTON WIZARDS 124

LOS ANGELES – J.J. Redick led the Clippers (45-31) with 31 points including 7-of-11 shooting from downtown. Chris Paul dropped 27 points and dished out 13 assists. DeAndre Jordan scored 23 points and grabbed 18 rebounds. Blake Griffin flirted with a triple-double – 26 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. John Wall poured in 41 points, handed out eight assists and hauled in seven rebounds for the Wizards (46-29). Bradley Beal netted 27 points.
