NBA Roundup: Nets on a roll. Harden bests former team, and Kings pull off big comeback

BROOKLYN NETS 107 ATLANTA HAWKS 92

ATLANTA – Brook Lopez poured in 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the suddenly hot Nets (16-57). Jeremy Lin contributed 19 points and eight assists. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson added 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Lopez, who is the only Net left on the roster that was with the team in New Jersey, passed Buck Williams for first on the Nets’ all-time made field goal list with 3,982 made attempts.

Dennis Schroder had 24 points and eight assists for the Hawks (37-36), who have dropped seven straight games. Dwight Howard compiled 19 points and 16 rebounds.

Brooklyn, which currently has the worst record and at one point lost 16 straight games this season, is 3-1 in their last four contests.

HOUSTON ROCKETS 137 OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER 125

HOUSTON – James Harden dropped 22 points to go along with 12 assists and five rebounds to power the Rockets (51-22) past his former team. Lou Williams came off the bench to score a game-high 31 points. Eric Gordon and Trevor Ariza added 24 apiece. Ariza also had six assists and six rebounds. Russell Westbrook (39 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds) picked up his 36th triple-double of the season for the Thunder (41-31).

SACRAMENTO KINGS 98 LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 97

LOS ANGELES – Willie Cauley-Stein put in the game-winning shot with about two seconds left in the game to help the Kings (28-45) come all the way back from being down 18. Cauley-Stein finished with eight points and 14 rebounds. Darren Collison and Buddy Hield each scored 19 and 15 points, respectively. DeAndre Jordan dropped 20 points and secured 11 rebounds for the Clippers (44-31).

CHARLOTTE HORNETS 120 PHOENIX SUNS 106

CHARLOTTE – Kemba Walker paced the Hornets (33-40) with 31 points and nine assists. Nicolas Batum provided 18 points, 10 assists and six rebounds. Marvin Williams added 21 points and seven rebounds. Devin Booker, fresh off his 70 point outing, scored 23 points for the Suns (22-52). T.J. Warren contributed with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

CHICAGO BULLS 109 MILWAUKEE BUCKS 94

MILWAUKEE – Nikola Mirotic led the Bulls (35-39) with 28 points and eight rebounds. Jimmy Butler added 20 points, 14 assists and six rebounds. Rajon Rondo had 18 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped 22 points and eight rebounds for the Bucks (37-36).

INDIANA PACERS 107 PHILADELPHIA 76ers 94

INDIANAPOLIS – Paul George guided the Pacers (37-36) with 21 points and eight rebounds. Myles Turner added 17 points and 16 rebounds. Richaun Holmes had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Sixers (27-46).

BOSTON CELTICS 112 MIAMI HEAT 108

BOSTON – Isaiah Thomas put up 30 points for the Celtics (48-26). Jae Crowder added 25 points and six rebounds. Al Horford contributed seven points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Tyler Johnson and James Johnson scored 24 and 20 points, respectively, for the Heat (35-38). Hassan Whiteside had 19 points and 15 rebounds.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 106 MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES 94

OAKLAND – Klay Thompson dropped 31 points to lead the Warriors (59-14). Steph Curry added 21 points and 11 assists. Mike Conley had 29 points and six assists for the Grizzlies (40-33).

NEW ORLEANS PELICANS 115 DENVER NUGGETS 90

DENVER – Anthony Davis compiled 31 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Pelicans (31-42) in the blowout victory. Mason Plumlee scored 16 points for the Nuggets (35-38). Nikola Jokic grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds to go along with eight points.

PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS 97 LOS ANGELES LAKERS 81

LOS ANGELES – Damian Lillard helped the Blazers (35-38) move into a tie for the eighth and final playoff spot in the west with 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists. C.J. McCollum (Lehigh) added 13 points. Jusuf Nurkic contributed nine points and 13 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell scored 22 points for the Lakers (21-52).
