Booker drops 70 in loss to Celtics

Boston Celtics 130  Phoenix Suns 120

BOSTON –  Isaiah Thomas netted a team-high 34 points and handed out seven assists as the Celtics (47-26) won their third straight.

Devin Booker dropped a game-high 70 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out six assists and took away three steals, but the Suns (22-51) fell for the seventh straight time.

Booker became the youngest player ever in NBA history to score 70 points in a game and 11th person to reach the mark.

Washington Wizards 129  Brooklyn Nets 108

WASHINGTON – John Wall scored a team high 22 points, dished out nine assists and grabbed four rebounds as the Wizards (44-28) won their second straight. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson dropped 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds, but the Nets (15-57) lost their for the third time in their last five games. Andrew Nicholson (St. Bonaventure) scored six points and grabbed three rebounds in 15 minutes off the Wizards bench.

Cleveland Cavaliers 112  Charlotte Hornets 105

CHARLOTTE – LeBron James (32) and Kyrie Irving (26) combined for 58 points as the Cavaliers (47-24) have won four out of their last six games. Kevin Love added a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Kemba Walker netted 28 points and handed out five assists, but the Hornets (32-40) lost for the first time in four games.

Orlando Magic 115  Detroit Pistons 87

ORLANDO – Elfrid Payton registered a triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists as the Magic (27-46) have won three out of their last four games. Terrence Ross scored a team high 18 points. Jon Leuer scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Pistons (34-39) dropped three straight.

Denver Nuggets 125  Indiana Pacers 117

INDIANA – Nikola Jokic (30), Wilson Chandler (24) and Danilo Gallinari (21) combined for 75 points as the Nuggets (35-37) have won two in a row. Paul George recorded 30 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals as the Pacers (36-36) have lost two in a row.

Philadelphia 76ers 117  Chicago Bulls 107

CHICAGO – Dario Saric recorded a double-double with 32 points and 10 rebounds as the 76ers (27-45) ended a two-game skid. Jimmy Butler scored 36 points, dished out 11 assists and grabbed seven rebounds, but the Bulls (34-39) have lost nine out of their last 12 games.

Milwaukee Bucks 100  Atlanta Hawks 97

MILWAUKEE – Giannis Antetokounmpo netted 36 points, collected 13 rebounds and handed out five assists as the Bucks (37-35) extended their winning streak to three games. Dennis Schroder (28), Tim Hardaway Jr. (25) and Dwight Howard (20) combined for 73 points, but the Hawks (37-35) have lost six in a row. Mike Muscala (Bucknell) grabbed two rebounds in seven minutes played off the bench.

Houston Rockets 117  New Orleans Pelicans 107

HOUSTON – James Harden registered a double-double with 38 points and 17 assists as the Rockets (50-22) have won eight out of their last 11 games. Patrick Beverley added 17 points and six rebounds. Anthony Davis (33) and DeMarcus Cousins (29) combined for 62 points, but the Pelicans (30-42) three game winning streak was snapped.

Los Angeles Lakers 130  Minnesota Timberwolves 119

LOS ANGELES – Jordan Clarkson scored 35 points and handed out five assists as the Lakers (21-51) snapped their six game losing streak. Julius Randle added a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Andrew Wiggins (36) and Karl-Anthony Towns (25) combined for 61 points, but the Timberwolves (28-43) lost their fifth straight.

Golden State Warriors 114  Sacramento Kings 100

OAKLAND – Stephen Curry (27) and Draymond Green (23) combined for 50 points as the Warriors (58-14) extended their winning streak to six games. Buddy Hield scored 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out seven assists, but the Kings (27-45) have lost four in a row.
