NBA Roundup: Wall carries Wizards; Knicks struggles continue, and Bulls blow out Pistons

WASHINGTON WIZARDS 104 ATLANTA HAWKS 100

WASHINGTON – John Wall carried the Wizards (43-28). with 22 points (all scored in the second half) and 10 assists. Bradley Beal added 28 points and nine rebounds. Markieff Morris provided 13 points and seven rebounds.

Washington won the rebounding battle 55-44.

Tim Hardaway Jr. poured in 29 points for the Hawks (37-34), who have lost five straight games. Dwight Howard compiled 14 points and 16 rebounds.

UTAH JAZZ 108 NEW YORK KNICKS 101

SALT LAKE CITY – Rudy Gobert exploded for 35 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks to lead the Jazz (44-28). Gordon Hayward added 19 points and eight rebounds. Kristaps Porzingis had 24 points and seven rebounds for the Knicks (27-34).

CHICAGO BULLS 117 DETROIT PISTONS 95

CHICAGO – Nikola Mirotic dropped 28 points for the Bulls (34-38). Jimmy Butler added 16 points and 12 assists. Andre Drummond secured 17 rebounds and scored eight points for the Pistons (34-38). Tobias Harris and Marcus Morris each scored 14 points.

CHARLOTTE HORNETS 109 ORLANDO MAGIC 102

ORLANDO – Kemba Walker steered the Hornets (32-39) to the victory with 22 points and seven assists. Marco Belinelli added 20 points. Nikola Vucevic compiled 14 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists for the Magic (26-46).

BOSTON CELTICS 109 INDIANA PACERS 100

BOSTON – Isaiah Thomas paced the Celtics (46-26) with 25 points. Avery Bradley contributed with 18 points and eight rebounds. Paul George scored a game-high 37 points for the Pacers (36-35). Jeff Teague had 25 points.

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER 122 PHILADELPHIA 76ers 97

OKLAHOMA CITY – Russell Westbrook picked up yet another triple-double with 18 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds for the Thunder (41-30). Enes Kanter came off the bench to put up 24 points and 11 rebounds. Nik Stauskas scored 20 points for the Sixers (26-45).

DENVER NUGGETS 126 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 113

DENVER – Gary Harris and Will Barton scored 21 and 20 points, respectively, to push the Nuggets (34-37) past the defending champs. Nikola Jokic provided 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Kyrie Irving dropped a game-high 33 points for the Cavs (46-24).

MILWAUKEE BUCKS 116 SACRAMENTO KINGS 98

SACRAMENTO – Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks (36-35) with 32 points, 13 rebounds and six assists. Buddy Hield dropped 21 points for the Kings (27-44).
