NBA Roundup: Lopez beats buzzer; Raptors outlast Bulls, and Spurs silence Wolves

BROOKLYN NETS 98 DETROIT PISTONS 96

BROOKLYN – Brook Lopez buried a fade away jumper to beat the buzzer to help the Nets (14-56) pull off the victory. Lopez finished with a game-high 29 points to go along with seven rebounds. Caris LeVert scored 15 points. Spencer Dinwiddie compiled 10 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks.

Detroit erased a lead as big as 11 in the fourth, as Tobias Harris tied things up with 2.4 seconds left.

Harris had a team-high 24 points for the Pistons (34-37). Andre Drummond posted 13 points and 17 rebounds.

TORONTO RAPTORS 122 CHICAGO BULLS 120 (OT)

TORONTO – DeMar DeRozan dropped 42 points, dished out eight assists and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Raptors (42-29). Cory Joseph and Serge Ibaka scored 19 and 16 points, respectively. Jimmy Butler had 37 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Bulls (33-38). Rajon Rondo provided 24 points, eight assists, five rebounds and four steals. Ibaka and Robin Lopez were both ejected after exchanging blows to the face.

SAN ANTONIO SPURS 100 MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES 93

MINNEAPOLIS – LaMarcus Aldridge carried the Spurs (54-16) with 26 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks. Kawhi Leonard added 22 points, four assists and three steals. Karl-Anthony Towns had 25 points and 14 rebounds for the Wolves (28-42). Andrew Wiggins scored 22 points.

MIAMI HEAT 112 PHOENIX SUNS 97

MIAMI – Hassan Whiteside provided 23 points and 14 rebounds for the Heat (35-36). Six other Miami players scored in double-figures. Marquese Chriss had 24 points and seven rebounds for the Suns (22-49).

NEW ORLEANS PELICANS 95 MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES 82

NEW ORLEANS – DeMarcus Cousins exploded for 41 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Pelicans (30-41). Anthony Davis added 19 points and 13 rebounds. Mike Conley scored 16 points for the Grizzlies (40-31).

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 112 DALLAS MAVERICKS 87

DALLAS – Klay Thompson scored 23 points to lead the Warriors (57-14). Steph Curry added 17 points and nine assists. Dirk Nowitzki had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Mavs (30-40).

MILWAUKEE BUCKS 93 PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS 90

PORTLAND – Khris Middleton led the Bucks (35-35) with 26 points. Giannis Antetokounmpo added 22 points and eight rebounds. Damian Lillard had 31 points, seven assists, five rebounds and four steals for the Blazers (32-38). C.J. McCollum (Lehigh) scored 21 points.

LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 133 LOS ANGELES LAKERS 109

LOS ANGELES – Chris Paul and J.J. Redick poured in 27 and 24 points, respectively, to lead the Clippers (43-29). Paul also hauled in eight rebounds. Brandon Ingram had 21 points for the Lakers (20-51).
