NBA Roundup: Harden sinks game-winner, Celtics take rivalry game, Dubs win in testy battle

HOUSTON ROCKETS 125 DENVER NUGGETS 124

HOUSTON – James Harden sank the game-winning shot with two seconds left to help the Rockets (49-22) take the victory.

Denver came all the way back to take a 124-123 lead off a bucket by Will Barton with 0:42 seconds left after giving up their lead earlier in the fourth quarter.

Harden finished with 39 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds and four steals. Eric Gordon chipped in 18 points off the bench. Four other Rockets put up double-digit scoring efforts.

Nikola Jokic had 22 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists for the Nuggets (33-37). Barton scored 24 points and handed out eight assists.

BOSTON CELTICS 110 WASHINGTON WIZARDS 102

BOSTON – Isaiah Thomas paced the Celtics (45-26) with 25 points, Avery Bradley added 20 points and nine rebounds. Al Horford and Jae Crowder each put up 16 points and nine rebounds. John Wall had 16 points and eight assists for the Wizards (42-28).

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 111 OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER 95

OKLAHOMA CITY – Klay Thompson poured in 34 points to lead the Warriors (56-14). Steph Curry added 23 points and six assists. Russell Westbrook had 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the Thunder (40-30). Kevin Durant was in the building, but didn’t suit up for the Dubs in his former home. However, things still got testy as Westbrook and Curry had to be separated from a shoving match.

CHARLOTTE HORNETS 105 ATLANTA HAWKS 90

CHARLOTTE – Kemba Walker and Nicolas Batum each scored 16 to carry the Hornets (31-39). Dennis Schroder led the Hawks (37-33) in scoring with 20 points. Dwight Howard mustered 13 points and 10 rebounds.

ORLANDO MAGIC 112 PHILADELPHIA 76ers 109 (OT)

ORLANDO – Nikola Vucevic led the Magic (26-45) with 26 points and 13 rebounds. Elfrid Payton grabbed 13 boards as well and chipped in 10 points. Robert Covington and Richaun Holmes scored 24 points apiece to go along with 13 and 14 rebounds, respectively, for the Sixers (26-44).

INDIANA PACERS 107 UTAH JAZZ 100

INDIANAPOLIS – Jeff Teague netted 21 points to lead the Pacers (36-34). Paul George added 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Gordon Hayward dropped 38 points for the Jazz (43-28).

LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 114 NEW YORK KNICKS 105

LOS ANGELES – Blake Griffin led the way with 30 points for the Clippers (42-29). Chris Paul added 13 points and 13 assists. DeAndre Jordan posted 14 points and 10 rebounds. Derrick Rose and Kristaps Porzingis each scored 18 points for the Knicks (27-43). KP also grabbed 11 rebounds.
