Kings end eight game losing streak

Sacramento Kings 120  Orlando Magic 115

SACRAMENTO – Nikola Vucevic netted a team high 23 points, grabbed nine rebounds and handed out four assists as the Kings (26-41) snapped an eight game losing streak. Evan Fournier added 21 points.

With 29 seconds left in the game the Kings Buddy Heild was at the line for a one-and-one attempt where he missed but the Kings grabbed the offensive rebound and Heild makes the lay up to put the Kings up 118-112.

Toronto Raptors 100  Dallas Mavericks 78

TORONTO – DeMar DeRozan scored 25 points, grabbed six rebounds, handed out five assists and took away two steals as the Raptors (39-28) snapped a two-game skid. Jonas Valanciunas recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Dirk Nowitzki netted 17 points and collected seven rebounds as the Mavericks (28-38) have lost their last two games.

Chicago Bulls 115  Charlotte Hornets 109

CHARLOTTE – Nikola Mirotic (24) Jimmy Butler (23), Dwyane Wade (23) and Rajon Rondo (20) combined for 90 points as the Bulls (32-35) snapped a five game losing streak. Jeremy Lamb (26), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (22) and Kemba Walker (21) combined for 69 points, but Hornets (29-38) have dropped two straight. Brian Roberts (Dayton) had an assist in five minutes played off the bench. Treveon Graham (Saint Joseph’s) scored a point in nine minutes played off the bench.

Memphis Grizzlies 113  Milwaukee Bucks 93

MEMPHIS –  Vince Carter (24) and Mike Conley (20) combined for 44 points as the Grizzlies (37-30) snapped a five game losing streak. Troy Daniels (VCU) scored six points, grabbed four rebounds, handed out an assist and collected a steal in 15 minutes played off the bench. Giannis Antetokunmpo scored a team high 18 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists, but the Bucks (32-34) six-game winning streak was snapped.

San Antonio Spurs 107  Atlanta Hawks 99

SAN ANTONIO – Kawhi Leonard dropped 31 points, collected five rebounds and handed out four assists as the Spurs (52-14) have won their last 11 out of 12 games. Pau Gasol registered a double-double off the bench with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Dennis Schroder earned a double-double with 22 points and 10 assists but the Hawks (37-30) three game winning streak was snapped. Mike Muscala (Bucknell) grabbed three rebounds in three minutes played off the bench.

Minnesota Timberwolves 119  Washington Wizards 104

MINNESOTA – Karl-Anthony Towns (39 points, 13 rebounds) and Ricky Rubio (22 points, 19 assists) earned double-double performances as the Timberwolves (28-38) have won three out of their last four games. John Wall (27) and Bradley Beal (20) combined 47 points, but the Wizards (41-25) five game winning streak was snapped.

Utah Jazz 114  Los Angeles Clippers 108

UTAH – Gordon Hayward dropped 27 points, grabbed three rebounds and handed out four assists a the Jazz (42-25) have won five out of their last six games. Chris Paul netted a team high 33 points, collected a six rebounds and dished out seven assists for the Clippers (40-27).

Denver Nuggets 129  Los Angeles Lakers 101

DENVER – Jamal Murray and Will Barton netted a team high 22 points a piece off the bench as the Nuggets (32-35) have won their third straight. Jameer Nelson (Saint Joseph’s) scored five points, dished out six assists, grabbed four rebounds and took away a steal in 29 minutes as a starter. Ivica Zubac scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, but the Lakers (20-47) have lost 10 out of their last 11 games.
