LOS ANGELES – Dario Saric (29) and Jahlil Okafor (23) combined for 52 points as the 76ers (24-42) snapped a four-game losing streak.
Julius Randle recorded a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds, but the Lakers (20-46) have lost nine out of their last 10 games.
With 50 seconds left in the game the 76ers down 112-111, T.J. McConnell drained a nine-foot shot to put them ahead by one. From there the 76ers closed out the game at the free throw line going seven-for-eight.
Brooklyn Nets 120 New York Knicks 112
BROOKLYN – Brook Lopez scored 25 points and grabbed six rebounds as the Nets (12-53) ended a two-game skid. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson added a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Carmelo Anthony netted 27 points, grabbed seven rebound and dished out three assists, but the Knicks (26-41) lost three straight.
Indiana Pacers 102 Miami Heat 98
INDIANA – Paul George recorded a double-double with 28 points and 10 rebounds as the Pacers (34-32) won for the third time in five games. Myles Turner added 15 points and eight rebounds. Hassan Whiteside dropped 26 points and collected 21 rebounds, but the Heat’s (32-35) four-game winning streak was snapped.
Boston Celtics 100 Chicago Bulls 80
BOSTON – Isaiah Thomas dropped 22 points as the Celtics (42-25) have won two of three. Anthony Bradley scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds. Marcus Smart came off the bench and scored 12 points, grabbed six rebounds, handed out three assists and collected two steals.
Portland Trail Blazers 110 Phoenix Suns 101
PHOENIX – Damian Lillard (39) and C.J. McCollum (Lehigh, 26) combined for 65 points as the Trail Blazers (29-36) won for the fifth time in six games. Devin Booker scored a team high 28 points and collected five rebounds, but the Suns (22-45) lost three of four games.
Houston Rockets 117 Cleveland Cavaliers
HOUSTON – James Harden registered his 16th triple-double of the season with 38 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds as the Rockets (46-21) won for the fourth time in their their last six games. LeBron James (30) and Kyrie Irving (28) combined for 58 points as the Cavaliers (43-22) have lost five of seven games.
