OKLAHOMA CITY – Russell Westbrook registered his 30th triple-double of the season with 43 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists as the Thunder (35-25) won their fourth straight.
Gordon Hayward dropped 19 points, handed out five assists and took away three steals, but the Jazz (37-23) lost for the first time in four games.
Under a minute left in regulation, Westbrook found himself with the ball, Thunder down 106-102, he knocked down a three ball to bring the Thunder within one. With 15 seconds left in the game it would be Westbrook again that gave the Thunder a 107-106 lead, with his short four foot lay in.
Washington Wizards 112 Golden State Warriors 108
WASHINGTON – Bradley Beal (25) and Markieff Morris (22) combined for 47 points as the Wizards (35-23) won for the sixth time in their last eight games. John Wall added 12 points and 19 assists. Stephen Curry netted 25 points, grabbed seven rebounds, handed out four assists and collected three steals, but the Warriors (50-10) four-game winning streak was snapped.
Detroit Pistons 120 Portland Trail Blazers 113
DETROIT – Marcus Morris totaled 37 points, eight rebounds and six assists as the Pistons (29-31) won their third in four games. Andre Drummond collected a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Damian Lillard (34) and C.J. McCollum (Lehigh, 25) combined for 59 points, but the Trail Blazers (24-35) lost for the fifth time in six games.
Denver Nuggets 125 Chicago Bulls 107
CHICAGO – Nikola Jokic registered a triple-double with 19 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists for the Nuggets (27-33). Danilo scored a team high 22 points. Dwyane Wade dropped 19 points, grabbed four rebounds and handed out six assists, but the Bulls (30-30) four-game winning streak was snapped.
Memphis Grizzlies 130 Phoenix Suns 112
MEMPHIS – Mike Conley (29) and Marc Gasol (28) combined for 57 points as the Grizzlies (36-25) won their second in a row. Zach Randolph added 23 points and eight rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench. Eric Bledsoe scored a team-high 20 points, collected five rebounds and handed out eight assists, but the Suns (18-42) lost their third in a row.
Charlotte Hornets 109 Los Angeles Lakers 104
LOS ANGELES – Kemba Walker scored 30 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out seven assists as the Hornets (26-34) won two out of their last three games. Frank Kaminsky III added a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Brian Roberts (Dayton) four points, two assists, a rebound and a steal in 14 minutes played off the bench. D’Angelo Russell and Julius Randle netted 23 points a piece, but the Lakers (19-42) lost their fifth in a row.
