CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — Kyle Guy scored a game-high 17 points to help No. 23 Virginia pull off the upset over the No. 5 Tar Heels. Using a small lineup to go against the size of UNC’s starting five, the Cavaliers were also sparked by London Perrantes who had 13 points. Joel Berry II led North Carolina with 12 points and five rebounds. With the win, Virginia improved to 20-9 while North Carolina fell to 25-6. UNC’s 43 points was the least scored by the Tar Heels in the Roy Williams era in Chapel Hill and lowest since 1979.

LAWRENCE, KS — Frank Mason III dropped 23 points in his final home game to lead the Jayhawks (27-3). After trailing by as many as 12 in the second half, Kansas went on a 31-11 run to finish the game. Kameron McGusty had a team high 14 points for the Sooners (10-19).

WACO, TX — Johnathon Motley scored 19 of his 23 points in the second half to help Baylor (24-6) avenge their loss to the Mountaineers earlier this season. However, what may have been the X-factor in this game was the large 43-23 rebounding margin that the Bears held as they controlled the clock for most of the final stretch. Jevon Carter scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds for West Virginia (23-7).

BLACKSBURG, VA — Ty Outlaw powered the Hokies (21-8) with a career high 24 points, all of which were three pointers. With the victory, Virginia Tech has won five out of their last six games and improved their remarkable home record to 15-1 on the season. Anthony Lawerence Jr. led Miami (20-9) with 18 points and five rebounds.
