LEXINGTON, KY– Derek Willis, who was honored as a senior and became engaged, drilled a three to spark a 13-5 run to give Kentucky a 69-62 lead and help the Wildcats complete the largest comeback in team history under head coach John Calipari, beating the Vanderbilt Commodores.
UK’s Malik Monk scored 27 points off the bench. Luke Kornet picked up 21 points and five assists for the Commodores.
The Commodores, ranked 40th in the country with 16.7 personal fouls per game, struggled with fouls, sending the Wildcats to the line 26 times on 25 personal fouls.
The Wildcats improve to 25-5 and the Commodores fall to 16-14.

DURHAM, NC– Frank Jackson‘s 22 points, and Amile Jefferson‘s double-double (14 points, 11 rebounds) in his final game at Cameron Indoor Stadium, combined to lead Duke (23-7). Dwayne Bacon topped Florida State (23-7) with 19 points, three assists and three rebounds.

LAFAYETTE, IN– Caleb Swanigan dropped 21 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double for Purdue (24-6). Swanigan now has 24 double-doubles this season, tied for the most in the NCAA. James Blackmon Jr. led Indiana (16-14) with 16 points and five assists. Thomas Bryant (Bishop Kearney) scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds for the Hoosiers.
No. 24 IOWA STATE 86 OKLAHOMA STATE 83
AMES, IA– Matt Thomas (25 points and five assists) and Monte Morris (12 points and 11 rebounds) fueled Iowa State (19-9). Jawun Evans gave Oklahoma State (20-9) 29 points, six assists and four rebounds. The Cyclones have won six straight games.

Emmitt Holt (Webster Schroeder) scored 14 points and pulled down four rebounds before fouling out for Providence. Holt’s 12.2 points per game is second on the team, behind only Rodney Bullock‘s 16.6.

Dontay Caruthers (East High) had six points and a pair of assists for Buffalo. The sophomore is averaging five points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
