Gonzaga’s undefeated run comes to an end

BYU 79 No. 1 GONZAGA 71

Eric Mika scored four points during a 10-0 BYU run to end the game, and the Cougars upset the undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Mika led the Cougars with 29 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. Nigel Williams-Goss (19 points) and Johnathan Williams (12 points, 12 rebounds) combined to lead the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs, the 36th best three-point shooting team in the country (38.7 percent per game), finished the game 3-16 (18.8 percent) from beyond the arc.

The Cougars improved to 21-10 and the Bulldogs fell to 29-1.

No. 2 VILLANOVA 79 No. 23 CREIGHTON 63

Eric Paschall provided 19 points and six rebounds for Villanova (27-3). Marcus Foster collected 25 points, eight assists and five rebounds for Creighton (22-7).

No. 3 KANSAS 77 TEXAS 67

Josh Jackson got 18 points, five rebounds and five assists for Kansas (26-3). Jarrett Allen had a double-double (20 points and 11 rebounds) for Texas (10-19).

No. 5 UCLA 77 No. 4 ARIZONA 72

UCLA (26-3) saw Bryce Alford lead them with 15 points and six rebounds. Allonzo Trier‘s 28 points and five rebounds topped Arizona (26-4).

No. 6 OREGON 75 STANFORD 73

Tyler Dorsey scored 15 points for Oregon (26-4). Reid Travis contributed a double-double with 27 points and 14 rebounds for Stanford (14-14).

No. 8 NORTH CAROLINA 85 PITTSBURGH 67

Justin Jackson had 23 points and Kennedy Meeks added a double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds) for UNC (25-5). Michael Young led Pittsburgh with 17 points and eight rebounds.

IOWA STATE 72 No. 9 BAYLOR 69

Deonte Burton had 22 points and three rebounds for Iowa State (19-9). Johnathan Motley put together 27 points and 11 rebounds, giving him a double-double, for Baylor (23-6).

MIAMI 55 No. 10 DUKE 50

Bruce Brown had 25 points, four rebounds and four assists for Miami (20-8). Frank Jackson gave Duke (22-7) 16 points, six rebounds and three assists off the bench.

No. 11 KENTUCKY 76 No. 13 FLORIDA 66

Malik Monk (33 points) combined with Edrice “Bam” Adebayo (18 points, 15 rebounds) to lead Kentucky (24-5). KeVaughn Allen netted 24 points for Florida (23-6). The loss snaps the Gators nine-game winning streak.

No. 12 WEST VIRGINIA 61 TCU 60

Nathan Adrian put up 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out five assists for West Virginia (23-6). Jaylen Fisher had 18 points, but Kenrich Williams added 10 points and 10 rebounds for TCU (17-12).

MICHIGAN 82 No. 14 PURDUE 70

Moritz Wagner‘s 24 points and Derrick Walton Jr.’s 17 points and 11 rebounds led Michigan (19-10). Purdue’s (23-6) Caleb Swanigan picked up 18 points and five rebounds.

No. 17 SMU 69 UCONN 61

Shake Milton netted 20 points and hauled in eight rebounds for SMU (25-4). Kentan Facey‘s 15 points and nine rebounds were good for the team lead for UConn (14-14). The Mustangs have won 11 straight.

No. 18 VIRGINIA 70 NC STATE 55

London Perrantes‘ 16-point and 10-assist double-double led Virginia (19-9). Dennis Smith Jr. scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds for NC State (15-15).

No. 19 FLORIDA STATE 76 CLEMSON 74

Xavier Rathan-Mayes picked up 15 points, seven assists and four rebounds for Florida State (23-6). Jaron Blossomgame topped Clemson (14-14) with 24 points and eight rebounds.

No. 20 SAINT MARY’S 70 SANTA CLARA 56

Jock Landale paced Saint Mary’s (26-3) with 17 points and six rebounds. Jared Brownridge and Matt Hauser tied for Santa Clara’s (16-15) lead in points with 15.

IOWA 83 No. 24 MARYLAND 69

Tyler Cook dropped 21 points and pulled in 10 rebounds for Iowa (16-13). Kevin Huerter added 13 points, five assists and four rebounds for Maryland (22-7).

No. 25 WICHITA STATE 86 MISSOURI STATE 67

Landry Shamet gave Wichita State (27-4) 23 points, eight rebounds and five assists off the bench. Alize Johnson fueled Missouri State (16-15) with 18 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double. The Shockers end the season on a 12 game winning streak.

Thomas Bryant (Bishop Kearney) scored 11 points, including the game-winning free throws, and grabbed six rebounds for Indiana.

TEMPLE 86 TULANE 76 in 2 OT

Quinton Rose (Bishop Kerney) netted five points and pulled down six rebounds for Temple.

VERMONT 66 STONY BROOK 51

Anthony Lamb (Greece Athena) dropped 19 points and hauled in five rebounds for Vermont.

RICHMOND 70 FORDHAM 48

Antwoine Anderson (Bishop Kearney) had 16 points for Fordham.
