No. 14 Purdue hangs on in OT, beats PSU on road

No. 14 PURDUE 74 PENN STATE 70 OT

Ryan Cline hit a three with 1:43 left on the clock in overtime, giving Purdue a one-point lead over the Penn State Nittany Lions and leading the Boilermakers to the win.

Isaac Haas gave the Boilermakers 13 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Tony Carr (21 points, seven assists and five rebounds) and Mike Watkins (11 points, 13 rebounds) combined to lead the Nittany Lions.

The Boilermakers, whose defense is ranked 9oth in the country for allowing a 33.1 percent average from beyond the arc, held the Nittany Lions to 2-18 (11.1 percent) from three-point land.

The Boilermakers improve to 23-5 and the Nittany Lions fall to 14-14.

No. 9 BAYLOR 60 OKLAHOMA 54

Johnathan Motley dropped a double-double (21 points, 16 rebounds) for Baylor (23-5). Kameron McGusty scored 13 points for Oklahoma (9-18).

No. 11 KENTUCKY 72 MISSOURI 62

Eric “Bam” Adebayo put up 22 points and pulled down 15 rebounds for a double-double for Kentucky (23-5). Missouri’s (7-20) Terrance Phillips had 22 points, four rebounds and three assists.

No. 13 FLORIDA 81 SOUTH CAROLINA 66

KeVaughn Allen netted 26 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Florida (23-5). Sindarius Thornwell‘s double-double (23 points and 10 rebounds) led South Carolina (20-8). The Gators extended their winning streak to nine games.

No. 25 WICHITA STATE 109 EVANSVILLE 83

Shaquille Morris picked up 18 points, five rebounds and five assists for Wichita State (26-4). The Shockers have won 11 straight games.

OTHER:

IOWA 96 INDIANA 90

Thomas Bryant (Bishop Kearney) contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double for Indiana.

KENT STATE 77 BUFFALO 69

Dontay Caruthers (East High) scored four points and pulled in two rebounds for Buffalo.
