No. 11 Wisconsin dominates second half, beats No. 25 Maryland

No. 11 WISCONSIN 71 No. 25 MARYLAND 60

Ethan Happ and Bronson Koening combined for 11 points during a 15-3 run to open the second half, giving Wisconsin a 42-36 lead and propelling the Badgers to a win over the Maryland Terrapins.

Nigel Hayes led the Badgers with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Melo Trimble topped the Terrapins with 27 points and five rebounds.

Despite holding the Badgers to 2-12 (16.7 percent) from three point land, the Terrapins, who average 32.1 percent against from three, were unable to pick up the win.

The Badgers improve to 22-5 and the Badgers drop to 22-5.

No. 20 CREIGHTON 87 GEORGETOWN 70

Marcus Foster dropped 35 points, grabbed five rebounds and handed out five assists for Creighton (22-5). L.J. Peak gave Georgetown (14-13) 23 points and six rebounds.

No. 24 BUTLER 82 DEPAUL 66

Kelan Martin provided Butler (21-6) 14 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Eli Cain put up 24 points and six rebounds for DePaul (8-19). The Blue Demons have now lost 10 straight.

OTHER:

CONNECTICUT 64 TEMPLE 63

Quinton Rose (Bishop Kearney) scored six points and dished out four assists for Temple.
