TEXAS TECH 84 No. 4 BAYLOR 78
Aaron Ross scored five points during an 11-0 Texas Tech run mid-way through the second half to give the Red Raiders a 69-61 lead, and eventual upset win, over the Baylor Bears.
Keenan Evans dropped 23 points, and Justin Gray picked up a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds) for the Red Raiders. Terry Maston scored 22 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Bears.
The Red Raiders improved to 17-9 and the Bears fell to 22-4.
No. 2 VILLANOVA 75 DEPAUL 62
Villanova’s (25-2) Jalen Brunson netted 18 points, hauled in four rebounds, handed out four assists and collected three steals. Chris Harrison-Docks led DePaul (8-18) with 18 points, two rebounds and two assists.
No. 3 KANSAS 84 No. 9 WEST VRIGINIA 80 in OT
Frank Mason III’s 24 points and Josh Jackson‘s 14-point, 11-rebound double-double combined to help Kansas (23-3) to the comeback win. Esa Ahmad put up 20 points and seven rebounds for West Virginia (20-6).
No. 8 LOUISVILLE 76 SYRACUSE 72 in OT
Donovan Mitchell led Louisville (21-5) with 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals before fouling out. Andrew White III topped Syracuse (16-11) with 22 points and eight rebounds.
