NEW YORK – Vince Carter drew cheers on seemingly every basket he made while playing against his former team. “Vinsanity,” who finished with 14 points including 4-of-5 shooting from behind the arc for the Grizzlies (34-23), played with the franchise for five years (2004-09) when they were the New Jersey Nets, and ranks third on their all-time scoring list at 8,834 points.
Mike Conley poured in a game-high 32 points to go along with six assists. Marc Gasol had 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Brandan Wright and Troy Daniels (VCU) scored 17 and six points off the bench, respectively.
Brook Lopez, who’s second on the Nets (9-46) all-time scoring list at 9,928 points, put in 17 points. Spencer Dinwiddie scored 17 points as well.

DALLAS – Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics (36-19) with 29 points and eight assists. Marcus Smart added 19 points. Yogi Ferrell dropped 20 points off the bench for the Mavs (22-33). Harrison Barnes scored 19 points. Dirk Nowitzki and Wes Matthews each had 18 points. Deron Williams passed Muggsy Bogues for 19th on the all-time assist leader list with 6,727.

DENVER – Nikola Jokic powered the Nuggets (25-30) to the upset victory with a triple-double – 17 points, 21 rebounds and 12 assists. Jameer Nelson (Saint Joseph’s) added 23 points and seven assists. Denver had six players score in double-figures, and tied an NBA mark with 24 3-pointers in the game. Kevin Durant dropped 25 points for the Warriors (46-9), who matched their loss total from all of last year after going an all-time NBA best 73-9 before blowing a 3-1 lead vs the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.
LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 88 UTAH JAZZ 72
SALT LAKE CITY – Blake Griffin compiled 26 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Clippers (34-21). DeAndre Jordan added 1o points and 13 rebounds. Rudy Gobert had 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Jazz (34-22).

PHOENIX – Anthony Davis netted 24 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks for the Pelicans (22-34). Jrue Holiday scored 18 and dished out eight assists. Langston Galloway (Saint Joseph’s) scored nine points on 3-of-6 shooting. Eric Bledsoe exploded for 37 points for the Suns (17-39).

MILWAUKEE – Greg Monroe dropped 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Bucks (24-30) against his former team. Michael Beasley added 23 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals. Marcus Morris scored 26 points for the Pistons (26-30). Andre Drummond picked up a double-double – 21 points and 12 rebounds.

WASHINGTON – John Wall paced the Wizards (33-21) with 15 points and 14 assists. Markieff Morris and Bradley Beal scored 23 and 22 points, respectively. Russell Westbrook had 17 points for the Thunder (31-25), who missed 24 consecutive shots in the game.

MIAMI – Evan Fournier helped the Magic (21-36) snap their 4-game skid with 24 points. Elfrid Payton added 20. Dion Waiters and Goran Dragic scored 23 and 22 points, respectively, for the Heat (24-32).
