Bonzie Colson and Matt Farrell combined for 10 points during a 12-6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish run mid-way through the first half, giving them a lead they did not surrender en route to an upset of the No.14 Florida State Seminoles.
Colson netted 33 points and hauled in 13 rebounds for a double-double for the Fighting Irish and reached the 1,000th-point plateau for his career. Terance Mann scored 15 points and pulled in four rebounds for the Seminoles.
Normally not a threat on the boards, being ranked 255th going into the game with an average of 34.4 rebounds per game, the Fighting Irish finished the game with 41 rebounds, seven more than the Seminoles.
The Fighting Irish improve to 19-7 and the Seminoles fall to 21-5.
