SACRAMENTO – Darren Collison, Ben McLemore and DeMarcus Cousins all scored 22 points apiece as the Kings (22-32) won for the third time in their last four games.
Tim Hardaway Jr. scored a team-high 28 points as the Hawks (31-23) lost their second out of three games. Mike Muscala (Bucknell) had a rebound and an assist in 11 minutes played off the bench. DeAndre Bembry (Saint Joseph’s) had a rebound, two assists and a steal in 19 minutes played off the bench.
Collison had the ball in his hands with seven seconds left in the game. He drove to the hoop and made the lay up to put the Kings up 108-107. On the next possession Tim Hardaway Jr. tried to win the game for the Hawks but Matt Barnes rejected it.
Miami Heat 108 Brooklyn Nets 99
BROOKLYN – James Johnson netted 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds off the bench as the Heat (24-30) extended their winning streak to 13 games. Goran Tragic added 21 points and five assists. Brook Lopez dropped 30 points, but the Nets (9-45) are on a 12 game losing streak.
Denver Nuggets 131 New York Knicks 123
NEW YORK – Nikola Jokic helped the Nuggets (24-29) win their third out of their last five with a team-high 40 points and collected nine rebounds. Jameer Nelson (Saint Joseph’s) collected a double-double with 16 points and 12 assists. Carmelo Anthony scored 33 points and grabbed six rebounds, but the Knicks (22-33) lost their fourth in a row.
San Antonio Spurs 103 Detroit Pistons 92
DETROIT – Kawhi Leonard scored 33 points, grabbed six rebounds and handed out five assists as the Spurs (41-12) won their fifth out of their last six games. Dewayne Demon registered a double-double with 17 point and 17 rebounds.
Los Angeles Lakers 122 Milwaukee Bucks 114
MILWAUKEE – Nick Young dropped a team high 26 points as the Lakers (19-37) won their last two out of three games. Off the bench Lou Williams added 21 points. Giannis Antetokunmpo collected 41 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals, but the Bucks (22-30) lost seven out of their last nine games.
Golden State Warriors 122 Memphis Grizzlies 107
MEMPHIS – Draymon Green registered a triple-double without scoring being a factor. He grabbed 12 rebounds, dished out 10 assists and took away 10 steals. Klay Thompson dropped a team high 36 points. Mike Conley scored 20 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out nine assists, but the Grizzlies (33-23) three game winning streak was snapped. Troy Daniels had six points and three rebounds in 15 minutes played off the bench.
New Orleans Pelicans 122 Minnesota Timberwolves 106
MINNESOTA – Anthony Davis helped the Pelicans (21-33) win for the second time in three games with 42 points and 13 rebounds. Jrue Holiday added a double-double with 25 points and 12 assists. Langston Galloway (Saint Joseph’s) had nine points, four rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes off the bench. Karl-Anthony Towns (36) and Andrew Wiggins (29) combined for 65 points, but the Timberwolves (20-34) lost their last five out of six.
Washington Wizards 112 Indiana Pacers 107
WASHINGTON – John Wall (26), Markieff Morris (26) and Bradley Beal (20) combined for 72 points as the Wizards (32-21) are 9-1 in their last 10 games. Marcin Gortat added a double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds. Paul George netted a team high 31 points, but the Pacers (29-24) lost their second in a row.
Phoenix Suns 115 Chicago Bulls 97
PHOENIX – Devin Booker and Eric Bledsoe combined for 50 points as the Suns (17-37) snapped a three game losing streak. Jimmy Butler dropped 20 points and handed out six assists as the Bulls (26-28) lost their last three out of four.
