No. 3 Kansas holds on to beat rival K-State

Frank Mason III collected 21 points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals as the Jayhawks held off a late rally to avoid losing their second straight. Dean Wade‘s jumper with 4:38 remaining gave Kansas State a brief lead at 60-59.

Wade finished the game with 20 points, six rebounds and four assists. Teammate Wesley Iwundu chipped in 13 points, 11 rebounds.

Kansas Jayhawk Devonte Graham connected on his 150th career three-point shot during the game.

Kansas held the Wildcats, ranked 40th in the country in field goal percentage (47.8 percent per game), to 26-68 (38.2 percent) from the field.

The Jayhawks improve to 21-3 and the Wildcats fall to 16-8.

No. 12 VIRGINIA 71 No. 4 LOUISVILLE 55

London Perrantes led Virginia (18-5) with 18 points, four rebounds and three assists. V.J. King topped Louisville (19-5) with 24 points and three rebounds.

Anthony Lamb (Greece Athena) scored two points with one rebound and an assist for Vermont.
