Monte Morris hit a jump shot to open overtime for the Iowa State Cyclones, giving them a lead they would not relinquish en route to an upset of the N0.3 Kansas Jayhawks.
Deonte Burton led the Cyclones with 29 points, eight rebounds and six steals. Frank Mason III picked up 32 points, six rebounds and five assists, and Josh Jackson scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double.
The Cyclones, ranked 95th in the country in three-point percentage with an average of 36.8 percent, finished 18-34 (52.9 percent) from beyond the three-point line.
The Cyclones improved to 14-8 and the Jayhawks dropped to 20-3.
