Minnesota Timberwolves 112 Phoenix Suns 111
PHOENIX – Andrew Wiggins netted a team-high 31 points and handed out six assists as the Timberwolves (17-28) won their third straight.
With six seconds left in the game it was P.J. Tucker of the Suns (15-30) who knocked down two free throws to put them up 111-110. Out of a Timberwolves timeout, Wiggins found the ball in his hands and pulled up from 18-feet to knock down the game-winning basket as time expired.
Karl-Anthony Towns added a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Tyson Chandler (22), Eric Bledsoe (18) and Derrick Booker (26) combined for 66 points. The Suns lost their 30th game.
San Antonio Spurs 108 Toronto Raptors 106
TORONTO – LaMarcus Aldridge netted 21 points and grabbed seven rebound as the Spurs (36-9) won their fifth straight. Patty Mills added 18 bench points and grabbed three steals. Kyle Lowry scored 30 points and collected five rebounds, but the Reports (28-17) dropped their fourth in a row.
Philadelphia 76ers 121 Los Angeles Clippers 110
PHILADELPHIA – Nerlens Noels registered 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists as the 76ers (16-27) won their fourth out of the last five. Austin Rivers (20) and J.J. Reddick (22) combined for 42 points, but the Clippers (30-17) have lost their last three of four.
Washington Wizards 123 Boston Celtics 108
WASHINGTON – John Wall (27) and Bradley Beal (38) combined for 58 points to pace the Wizards (25-20) to their sixth win out of the last seven games. Isaiah Thomas recorded a double-double with 25 points and 13 assists, but the Celtics (26-18) lost their third straight.
Chicago Bulls 100 Orlando Magic 92
ORLANDO – Jimmy Butler helped the Bulls (23-23) win their second in a row with 20 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. Dwyane Wade added 21 points, seven rebounds and seven steals. Nikola Vucevic scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds, but the Magic (18-29) dropped their second in a row.
Denver Nuggets 103 Utah Jazz 93
DENVER – Nikola Jokic helped the Nuggets earn their 19th victory of the season with 23 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and three blocks. Jameer Nelson (Said Joseph’s) added 17 points and seven assists as he earned the start tonight.
