Waiters beats Warriors with late three

Miami Heat 105  Golden State Warriors 102

MIAMI – Dion Waiters scored a team-high 33 points as the Heat (15-30) won their fourth straight.

It was Waiters whose number was called with 11 seconds left in the contest and knocked down the game-winning three with 0.6 seconds left.

The big three for the Warriors, Stephen Curry (21); Thompson (22) and Kevin Durant (27) combined for 70 points, but the Warriors had their seven-game winning streak snapped.

New York Knicks 109  Indiana Pacers 103

INDIANA – Carmelo Anthony‘s 26 points, five rebounds and two assists ended the Knicks (20-26) two-game losing skid. Derrick Rose scored 20 points and gave out six assists. Paul George netted 31 points and collected seven rebounds, but the Pacers (22-22) dropped their third straight.

Washington Wizards 109  Charlotte Hornets 99

CHARLOTTE – John Wall‘s team-high 24 points helped the Wizards (24-20) win their sixth of their last seven. Otto Porter Jr. added a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Kemba Walker dropped 21 points and handed out five assists, but the Hornets (23-22) saw their three-game winning streak snapped.

San Antonio Spurs 112  Brooklyn Nets 86

BROOKLYN – Patty Mills came off the bench and scored 20 points as the Spurs (35-9) extended their winning streak to four games. LaMarcus Aldridge had  16 points, nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks.

Los Angeles Clippers 115  Atlanta Hawks 102

ATLANTA – Austin Rivers netted 27 points, dished out six assists and grabbed four rebounds as the Clippers (30-16) ended a two-game losing skid. Jamaal Crawford helped with 19 bench points. Paul Millsap (19) Kent Bazemore (25) and Dennis Schroder (21) combined for 65 points, but the Hawks dropped 26-19 on the season.

Sacramento Kings 109  Detroit Pistons 104

DETROIT – DeMarcus Cousins registered a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds as the Kings (17-27) snapped a five-game losing streak. Ty Lawson added 19 bench points. Andre Drummond (14 points, 12 rebounds) and Reggie Jackson (18 points, 11 assists) collected a double-double, but the Pistons (21-25) lost for the first time in four games.

Milwaukee Bucks 127  Houston Rockets 114

MILWAUKEE – Giannis Antetokunmpo (31) and Jabari Parker (28) combined for 59 points to help the Bucks (21-23) end a five-game losing streak. Greg Monroe added 17 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. James Harden scored 26 points and dished out 12 assists, but turned the ball over 11 times as the Rockets dropped to 34-14 on the season.

New Orleans Pelicans 124  Cleveland Cavaliers 122

NEW ORLEANS – Terrence Jones (36) and Jrue Holiday (33) stepped up in place of Anthony Davis as they combined for 69 points which earned the Pelicans their 18th win on the season. Kyrie Irving shot 8-of-14 from beyond the arc to finish with 49 points, but the Cavaliers (30-13) dropped their second in a row.

Oklahoma City Thunder 97  Utah Jazz 95

UTAH – Russell Westbrook collected his 22nd triple-double (38 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) of the season, which put him fifth all-time tied with Larry Bird with 59, as the Thunder (26-19) ended a two-game  skid. Gordon Hayward dropped 17 points and grabbed six rebounds, but the loss ended the Jazz’s (29-17) six-game winning streak.
