DALLAS MAVERICKS 122 LOS ANGELES LAKERS 73
DALLAS – Deron Williams led the Mavs (15-29) to their third-largest winning margin in franchise history with 13 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Williams, who has had at least seven dimes in seven straight games coming into play, moved into 20th place in NBA history with 6,715 assists, passing Kevin Johnson.
Justin Anderson dropped 19 points in 16 minutes off the bench. Seth Curry added 14 points. Dirk Nowitzki and Wesley Matthews each had 13 points.
Lou Williams and Jordan Clarkson came off the bench to score 15 and 10 points, respectively, for the Lakers (16-32), who suffered their worst loss in franchise history.
Los Angeles can’t seem to figure out the Mavs as they have lost 13 straight games against Dallas.
GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 118 ORLANDO MAGIC 98
ORLANDO – Stephen Curry paced the Warriors (38-6) with 27 points, six assists and four rebounds. Klay Thompson added 21 points. Kevin Durant finished with 15 points, 10 boards, six dimes and three steals. Elfrid Payton scored 23 points and dished out 10 assists for the Magic (18-28).
PHOENIX SUNS 115 TORONTO RAPTORS 103
TORONTO – Eric Bledsoe went off for a career-high 40 points to go along with 13 assists and six rebounds to lead the Suns (15-29) north of the border. Devin Booker scored 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting. DeMar DeRozan had 22 points for the Raptors (28-16) and tied Chris Bosh for second in franchise history with 265 games with at least 20 points. Vince Carter currently leads in that category with 273 such games.
MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES 111 DENVER NUGGETS 108
MINNEAPOLIS – Karl-Anthony Towns poured in 32 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, handed out seven assists and rejected four shots to lead the Wolves (16-28). Andrew Wiggins added 24 points. Shabazz Muhammad dropped 20 points off the bench. Nikola Jokic had 18 points, eight boards, four dimes and three steals for the Nuggets (18-25). Gary Harris scored 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting. Wilson Chandler and Jamal Murray came off the bench to score 17 apiece.
