LOS ANGELES – DeAndre Jordan posted 24 points and 21 rebounds to help the Clippers (28-14) improve to 6-0 in 2017. Chris Paul added 20 points and 13 assists. Austin Rivers and Raymond Felton chipped in with 15 points apiece.
The Clippers are off to their best start to begin a year since their 7-0 start in 1974 when the team was known as the Buffalo Braves. Their streak is also the longest current one in the NBA.
Jordan Clarkson dropped a team-high 21 points for the Lakers (15-29), who allowed the Clippers to shoot 52 percent from the field. The Clippers did a lot of their damage inside, as they put up a season-high 56 points in the paint. The Lakers never led in the game.
CHICAGO BULLS 107 NEW ORLEANS PELICANS 99
CHICAGO – Jimmy Butler scored 28 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out six assists, and swiped four steals in his return from the flu to lead the Bulls (20-21). Dwyane Wade added 22 points including 17 in the fourth quarter to go along with five dimes and four boards. Anthony Davis put up 36 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks in his hometown for the Pelicans (16-25).

MEXICO CITY – Devin Booker put up a career-high 39 points for the second game in a row for the Suns (13-27). Something must be in that water, as both of Booker’s efforts came in Mexico City! It’s also worth noting that the second-year guard’s grandfather is from Mexico. Kawhi Leonard also registered his career-high in points, finishing with 38 for the Spurs (31-9).
WASHINGTON WIZARDS 109 PHILADELPHIA 76ers 93
WASHINGTON – John Wall bounced back after a rough game to lead the Wizards (20-19) with 25 points, seven assists and seven rebounds. Wall was dealing with a sore left wrist and a sore right pinky coming into play. Bradley Beal added 20 points. Jahlil Okafor had 26 points and nine boards for the Sixers (12-26).
UTAH JAZZ 114 ORLANDO MAGIC 107
SALT LAKE CITY – Gordon Hayward netted 23 points, seven assists and five rebounds for the Jazz (26-16). Rudy Gobert finished with 19 points and 19 rebounds. George Hill and Rodney Hood added 14 points apiece. Elfrid Payton (28 points, nine boards and nine dimes) finished just short of a triple-double for the Magic (17-25).
