Rundown of Monday night’s NBA action.

New Orleans Pelicans 110  New York Knicks 96
NEW YORK – Anthony Davis netted 40 points, grabbed 18 rebounds, and the Pelicans (15-24) snapped a three-game losing skid. Davis topped the 20-point, 15-rebound plateau for the fifth straight game.

Buddy Hield added 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals for the Pelicans.

New York’s Brandon Jennings scored 20 points in the absence of Derrick Rose, who did not attend last night’s contest. Rose and head coach Jeff Hornacek disagreed after the Knicks (17-21) loss to the Pacers on Saturday. Rose appeared at morning shootaround but never returned for the game. Carmelo Anthony dropped 18 points before being ejected from the game. Kyle O’Quinn was ejected as well for a double flagrant foul.

Langston Galloway (Saint Joseph’s) had five points, an assist and a block in 19 minutes off the bench.

Oklahoma City Thunder 109  Chicago Bulls 94
CHICAGO – Russell Westbrook scored 21 points and handed out 14 assists to help the Thunder (23-16) win its second straight. Steven Adams added a team-high 22 points. Dwyane Wade netted 22 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out six assists for the Bulls (19-19).

Minnesota Timberwolves 101  Dallas Mavericks 92

MINNESOTA – Karl-Anthony Towns scored a team-high 34 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Timberwolves (12-26) stopped a four-game slide. Ricky Rubio also added a double-double with 13 points and 15 assists. Dirk Nowitzki (26) and Harrison Barnes (30) combined for 56 points, but the Mavericks (11-27) dropped their third in a row.
