Milwaukee Bucks 98 Oklahoma City Thunder 94
MILWAUKEE – Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with a team-high 26 points, 10 rebounds and five assists as the Bucks won their second straight to improve to 17-16 on the season. Antetokounmpo drove to the hoop to find John Henson for the lay in and the two point lead, at 94-92.
Russell Westbrook tied the game at 94 with a 16-foot jump shot. Westbrook had the ball in his hand looking to take the lead but missed his next jumper.
With 14.7 seconds left in the game, Westbrook had the ball in his hands once again with a chance for the tie, but dribbled it off his knee out of bounds.
Malcolm Brogdon sealed the win with two free throws.
Brogdon and Henson finished with 12 points a piece.
Orlando Magic 115 New York Knicks 103
NEW YORK – Jodie Meeks scored a season-high 23 points, and the Magic (16-20) snapped a two-game skid. Aaron Gordon and Serge Ibaka both added 22 points. Carmelo Anthony had 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals, but Knicks (16-18) dropped their fifth straight.
Cleveland Cavaliers 90 New Orleans Pelicans 82
CLEVELAND – Kevin Love, who was battling food poisoning, had a double-double 12 points and 11 rebounds to push the Cavaliers (26-7) to their third straight win. LeBron James netted a team-high 26 points. Anthony Davis and Buddy Hield combined for 40 points as the Pelicans (14-22) dropped their first in five games. Langston Galloway (Saint Joseph’s) came off the bench and collected three points, two rebounds and an assist in 13 minutes.
Utah Jazz 101 Brooklyn Nets 89
BROOKLYN – Gordon Hayward poured in 30 points, and the Jazz’s (22-13) won their fourth straight to take a one game lead over the Thunder for first place in the Northwest Division. Rudy Gobert, Shelvin Mack and Rodney Hood added 15 points. Trevor Booker scored 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. The Nets (8-25) dropped their third straight and have lost eight of 10.
Chicago Bulls 118 Charlotte Hornets 111
CHICAGO – Jimmy Butler netted a season-high 52 points, and the Bulls (17-18) snapped a two-game skid. Butler went 21 for 22 from the free throw line and finished one point shy of his career high. Kemba Walker recorded a double-double for the Hornets (19-16) with 34 points and 11 rebounds.
Houston Rockets 101 Washington Wizards 91
HOUSTON – James Harden‘s ninth triple-double of the season helped the Rockets (27-9) win their fifth straight. Eric Gordon came off the bench for 31 points in 36 minutes. John Wall‘s double-double (18 points and 12 assists) wasn’t enough to help the Wizards (16-17) win their fourth straight.
Los Angeles Clippers 109 Phoenix Suns 98
LOS ANGELES – J.J. Reddick’s 22-point performance helped the Clippers (22-13) get back on the winning side, snapping a six-game skid. Jamal Crawford added 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists off the bench.
Golden State Warriors 127 Denver Nuggets 119
SAN FRANCISCO – Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 58 points as the Warriors (30-5) picked up their 10th victory in 11 games. Draymond Green contributed with a triple-double of 15 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. Nikola Jokic and Wilson Chandler scored 21 points a piece for the Nuggets (14-20) who dropped their fourth out of six games.
