After falling behind 9-0 to open the game, Creighton crawled its way back into the game, taking the lead by outscoring Arizona State 14-6 over a four minute stretch mid-way through the first half, a run capped by four three-pointers.
Creighton finished shooting 53.2 percent from the field and 56 percent from three. Arizona State finished shooting 45.7 percent from the field and 28 percent from three.
Junior guard Marcus Foster led Creighton with 29 points, four rebounds and three assists. Arizona State had two players with 24 points (senior guard Torian Graham and junior guard Tra Holder), but was led overall by senior forward Obinna Oleka with a double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds.

Jevon Carter, a junior guard for West Virginia (10-1), led his team with 15 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals.
No. 17 XAVIER 85 EASTERN WASHINGTON 56
Sophomore guard Edmond Sumner put up 14 points, nine assists and four rebounds to help Xavier (10-2) to the win.
No. 18 ARIZONA 77 NEW MEXICO 46
Arizona’s (11-2) top performer was freshman guard Rawle Alkins with 13 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double.
No. 19 SAINT MARY’S 67 TEXAS A&M-CC 46
Junior center Jock Landale netted 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Saint Mary’s (8-1).
No. 20 OREGON 75 FRESNO STATE 63
Oregon (11-2) junior forward Jordan Bell dropped 23 points and eight rebounds. Paul Watson paced Fresno State (8-4) with 15 points and seven rebounds.

Junior forward Emmitt Holt (Webster Schroeder) scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double for Providence.
