SAN ANTONIO SPURS 113 NEW ORLEANS PELICANS 100
SAN ANTONIO – The Spurs (22-5) honored the great Tim Duncan Sunday night as they retired his No. 21 following the game. “The Big Fundamental” retired this past offseason after winning five championships and two MVP awards in 19 seasons with the Spurs.
San Antonio came out on top, as LaMarcus Aldridge paced a 17-5 run with nine points to help the Spurs take a 61-49 lead into halftime. Aldridge finished with 22 points and seven rebounds.
Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker, who teamed up with Duncan to form “The Big Three” for much of his career, scored 17 and 12 points, respectively.
Langston Galloway (Saint Joseph’s) helped bring the Pelicans (9-20) within nine points with 3:15 left in the game after the Spurs led by as many as 24 points earlier in the quarter. But the Spurs countered with an 8-0 run to all but put the Pelicans away.
Galloway finished with 12 points. Alexis Ajinca added 16 points and eight rebounds.
WASHINGTON WIZARDS 117 LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 110
WASHINGTON – Bradley Beal paced the Wizards (12-14) to their third straight win with 41 points. Markieff Morris added 23 points and nine rebounds. John Wall finished with 18 points and 11 assists. Blake Griffin had 26 points for the Clippers (20-8), and passed Elton Brand for third on the all-time scoring list in Clippers history.
DALLAS MAVERICKS 99 SACRAMENTO KINGS 79
DALLAS – Dorian Finney-Smith paced the Mavs (7-20) with a season-high 17 points. Deron Williams, Harrison Barnes, and Wes Matthews all added 15 points apiece. DeMarcus Cousins had 33 points and six rebounds for the Kings (10-17).
UTAH JAZZ 82 MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES 73
MEMPHIS – Gordon Hayward led the Jazz (18-10) to their fourth straight win with 22 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Rudy Gobert added 21 points and 12 boards. Mike Conley had 14 points for the Grizzlies (18-11).
TORONTO RAPTORS 109 ORLANDO MAGIC 79
ORLANDO – DeMar DeRozan dropped 31 points for the Raptors (19-8). Kyle Lowry (16 points and 10 assists) and Jonas Valanciunas (16 points and 13 rebounds) added double-doubles. Evan Fournier had 15 points for the Magic (12-17).
BOSTON CELTICS 105 MIAMI HEAT 95
MIAMI – Isaiah Th0mas and Avery Bradley scored 23 and 20 points, respectively, to lead the Celtics (15-12) to the victory. Al Horford finished with a well-rounded game of 17 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds. Hassan Whiteside had 23 points and 17 rebounds for the Heat (9-19). Goran Dragic added a game-high 31 points to go along with seven assists.
PHILADELPHIA 76ers 108 BROOKLYN NETS 107
PHILADELPHIA – Joel”The Process” Embiid paced the Sixers (7-20) with 33 points and 10 rebounds. Ersan Ilyasova added 22 points. Brook Lopez flirted with a triple-double with 22 points, nine boards, and eight assists for the Nets (7-19). Joe Harris and Jeremy Lin came off the bench to score 19 and 16 points, respectively.
