No. 8 Gonzaga holds on against Volunteers

No. 8 GONZAGA 86 TENNESSEE 76

Tennessee pushed the deficit to only four points with 2:27 remaining in the second half, but Gonzaga followed with a 6-0 mini-run behind four points from sophomore guard Josh Perkins to help secure the win.

Gonzaga shot 54.3 percent from the field and 45 percent from three. Tennessee shot 30.4 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from beyond the arc.

Junior guard Nigel Williams-Goss led the Bulldogs with 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists. The Volunteers top player was junior guard Detrick Mostella with 17 points off the bench.

Gonzaga improves to 11-0 and Tennessee drops to 6-5.

No. 4 BAYLOR 107 JOHN BROWN 57

Baylor (11-0) was paced by junior guard Johnathan Motley with 20 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

OTHER:

RUTGERS 68 FORDHAM 53

Redshirt junior Antwoine Anderson (Bishop Kearney) scored 11 points, adding seven assists and four rebounds for Fordham.
