MILWAUKEE BUCKS 108 CHICAGO BULLS 97
MILWAUKEE – Giannis Antetokounmpo hit the first shot of the night, and the Bucks (12-12) went on to lead the entire game. “The Greek Freak” finished with 3o points and 14 rebounds. Jabari Parker added 28 points.
The Bucks led by as much as 27, with the lead coming after a dunk by former Bull Tony Snell that made it 58-31 with 3:40 left in the second quarter.
Milwaukee led 95-71 after an Antetokounmpo dunk with 10:01 remaining in the fourth, but Chicago rallied to cut the lead in half with 7:14 to go with Dwyane Wade scoring 10 of the 12 points. The Bucks never folded and went on to lead by at least eight points the rest of the way.
Wade ended up with with 20 points and six assists for the Bulls (13-12), who have dropped five of their last seven games. Jimmy Butler had a team-high 21 points.
Prior to tip-off, Craig Sager was honored by the Milwaukee Bucks following his death yesterday after a long battle of leukemia. Milwaukee players wore Sager Strong T-shirts during pregame warmups, which resembled the outfit that Sager wore when he accepted the Jimmy V Award at the most recent ESPYs. TNT spent much of the broadcast honoring their longtime sideline reporter who was known for his graceful personality and wacky outfits.
NEW ORLEANS PELICANS 102 INDIANA PACERS 95
NEW ORLEANS – The Pacers (13-14) led 90-85 with 4:38 remaining in the game, but Anthony Davis highlighted a 15-0 run with 10 points to help the Pelicans (9-18) come away with the victory. “The Brow” finished with 35 points, 16 rebounds, and five blocks. Langston Galloway (Saint Joseph’s) chipped in with five points off the bench. Buddy Hield added a career-high 21 points. Myles Turner had 26 points and eight boards for Indiana.
DENVER NUGGETS 132 PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS 120
DENVER – Danilo Gallinari paced the Nuggets (10-16) with 27 points on 8-for-13 shooting. Jameer Nelson (Saint Joseph’s) added 15 points and three assists off the bench. Damian Lillard scored a game-high 40 points for the Blazers (13-15). C.J. McCollum (Lehigh) had 23 points.
SAN ANTONIO SPURS 107 PHOENIX SUNS 92
PHOENIX – Kawhi Leonard dropped 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help the Spurs (21-5) improve to an NBA best 14-1 record on the road. Pau Gasol added 18 points of his own along with nine boards. Devin Booker had a team-high 17 points for the Suns (8-18).
GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 103 NEW YORK KNICKS 90
OAKLAND – Klay Thompson led the Warriors (23-4) with 25 points over a Knicks (14-12) team missing stars Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose. Kevin Durant added 15 points, 14 rebounds, and eight assists. Former Warrior Justin Holiday dropped 15 points off the bench for New York.
