Portland Trail Blazers 114 Oklahoma City Thunder 95
PORTLAND- Missing Victor Oladipo showed on Tuesday night for the Thunder (15-10). The game was a one-point affair until the Trail Blazers (13-14) broke the game open with a 19-5 run.
The Trail Blazers ended the first half on a drive to the basket and reverse lay up by Damian Lillard (17 points, 9 assists). They continued their surge outscoring the Thunder 9-2 coming out of the locker room.
Russell Westbrook would sit the entire fourth quarter and end the game with 27 points, six rebounds and six assists. This win would snap a four-game losing streak for the Trail Blazers. Contributing to the win was C.J. McCollum (Lehigh) who dropped 15 points and Evan Turner who added 14 points off the bench.
Phoenix Suns 113 New York Knicks 111
PHOENIX- The Suns (8-17) ended the Knicks (14-11) two-game winning streak led by Eric Bledsoe with 31 points, six rebounds and eight assists. Kristaps Porzingis paced the Knicks with 34 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.
Cleveland Cavaliers 103 Memphis Grizzlies 86
CLEVELAND- Kevin Love scored 29 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to pace the Cavaliers (18-5). Zach Randolph led the Grizzlies (17-9) with 18 points and five rebounds. Troy Daniels (VCU) added five points and two rebounds in 20 minutes of play.
Orlando Magic 131 Atlanta Hawks 120
ATLANTA- Alfred Payton came off the bench to lead the Magic (11-15) with 26 points and 14 rebounds ending Orlando’s three-game losing streak. The Hawks (12-13) are 2-8 in their last 10. Dwight Howard grabbed a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds for Atlanta. Mike Muscala (Bucknell) added six points, five rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes played off the bench.
Minnesota Timberwolves 99 Chicago Bulls 94
CHICAGO- In his first game back at the United Center since the Bulls let him go last year, Tom Thibodeau’s Timberwolves (7-18) snuck out with a win. Jimmy Butler dropped 27 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Bulls (13-11).
Golden State Warriors 113 New Orleans Pelicans 109
NEW ORLEANS — Stephen Curry hit five of nine from behind the arc and netted 30 points to go with seven assists to lead the Warriors (22-4) who are 4-1 on their recent road trip. The Pelicans (8-18) are 2-8 in their last 10 games. Langston Galloway (Saint Joseph’s) dropped 20 points, grabbed five rebounds and collected three steals in 28 minutes off the bench for New Orleans.
