UT-ARLINGTON 65 No. 12 SAINT MARY’S 51
Junior forward Kevin Hervey scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead UT-Arlington to the win. Saint Mary’s junior center Jock Landale paced the Gaels with 14. He had seven rebounds and three blocks.
UT-Arlington shot 49 percent from the field while Saint Mary’s connected 31.4 percent of the time. UT-Arlington also collected 10 steals in the game. Saint Mary’s dished out 11 assists on their 16 field goals. UT-Arlington won the rebounds battle 36-31.
UT-Arlington improves to 8-3. Saint Mary’s takes its first loss of the season at 6-1.
IOWA 78 No. 25 IOWA STATE 64
Iowa’s top performer was senior guard Peter Jok with 23 points and nine rebounds. Though not the team’s top scorer, senior guard Monte Morris was Iowa State’s top player with 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.
Iowa shot 47.3 percent from the field and 40.9 percent from behind the three-point line. By comparison, Iowa State struggled with shooting, being 35.7 percent from the field and 26.7 percent from three. Iowa also won the rebounding battle 42-39 and drew 10 less fouls than their opponent.
Iowa jumps to even at 5-5 and Iowa State is now 6-3.

Redshirt junior guard Antwoine Anderson (Bishop Kearney) scored eight points, grabbed one rebound and handed out one assist for Fordham.
