No. 6 KENTUCKY 87 VALPARAISO 63
Leading the way for the Wildcat’s was freshman forward Edrice Adebayo with 16 points and seven rebounds. Valpo’s top player was senior forward Alec Peters with 23 points and eight rebounds. Kentucky improves to 8-1 and Valpo drops to 7-2.
No. 7 NORTH CAROLINA 83 DAVIDSON 74
UNC’s Justin Jackson, a junior forward, scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the team. Davidson senior guard Jack Gibbs scored 30 points, along with grabbing five rebounds and handing out three assists. UNC is now 9-1 and Davidson is 5-3.
No. 8 GONZAGA 98 WASHINGTON 71
Junior guard Nigel Williams-Goss scored 23 points, added five rebounds and five assists to lead Gonzaga to the win. Washington saw a pair of players get double-doubles: freshman guard Markelle Fultz (25 points, 10 rebounds) and sophomore forward Noah Dickerson (12 points, 15 rebounds). Gonzaga remains undefeated at 9-0, while Washington evens out at 4-4.
No. 10 CREIGHTON 77 NEBRASKA 62
Senior guard Maurice Watson Jr. was Creighton’s top performer with 25 points, eight assists and three rebounds. Tai Webster, a senior guard for Nebraska, dropped 20 points, along with six rebounds and four assists. Creighton stays undefeated at 9-0 and Nebraska takes its fourth loss of the season at 5-4.
No. 11 LOUISVILLE 74 SOUTHERN ILLINOIS 51
Though not the team leader in points, sophomore Deng Adel topped his team with a double-double (12 points, 12 rebounds). Junior forward Sean O’Brien led his team with 15 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double of his own. Louisville moves to 8-1, while Southern Illinois falls to 5-4.
COLORADO 68 No. 13 XAVIER 66
Colorado’s senior guard Derrick White led the team with 23 points, complemented by a double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds) from junior guard George King. Junior Trevon Bluiett picked up 27 points, and Xavier also got a double-double of its own from senior forward RaShid Gaston (14 points and 11 rebounds). Both teams are now 7-2.
No. 15 WEST VIRGINIA 90 WESTERN CAROLINA 37
WVU sophomore forward Esa Ahmad netted 14 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out three assists in the win. Sophomore forward Marc Gosselin was Western Carolina’s top performer with four points and 10 rebounds. West Virginia jumps to 7-1 and Western Carolina goes to 3-6.
INDIANA STATE No. 16 BUTLER
Two players topped 20 points for Indiana State, but junior guard Brenton Scott led the way to the upset with 25 points and nine rebounds. Butler’s senior forward Andrew Chrabascz led his team 18 points and seven rebounds. Indiana State improves to 5-4, while Butler takes its first loss of the season and is 8-1.
No. 17 WISCONSIN 78 IDAHO STATE 44
Bronson Koening, a senior guard, picked up 21 points to lead the team in scoring, and sophomore forward Ethan Happ contributed a double-double (12 points, 12 rebounds). Freshman guard Balint Mocsan was the only Idaho State player to break double digits with 10 points. Wisconsin jumps to 8-2 and Idaho State moves to 1-8.

Phil Valenti (Aquinas) scored 12 points while grabbing six rebounds, handing out two assists and collecting two steals.

Freshman forward Anthony Lamb (Greece Athena) picked up eight points and eight rebounds in 30 minutes played.
GEORGE WASHINGTON 66 TEMPLE 63
Freshman guard Quinton Rose (Bishop Kearney) scored two points and grabbed one rebound in 12 minutes off the bench.
PITTSBURGH 84 BUFFALO 79
Redshirt sophomore guard Dontay Caruthers (East High School) scored two points and handed out three assists in 13 minutes off the bench.
