A double-double from freshman forward TJ Leaf (17 points, 13 rebounds) propelled the Bruins to the upset win. While they had two players break 20 points, Kentucky’s top performer was freshman forward Edrice Adebayo with 18 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double of his own. UCLA moves to 9-0 and Kentucky drops to 7-1.
NO. 2 VILLANOVA 88 SAINT JOSEPH’S 57
20 points from senior forward Kris Jenkins and a triple-double from senior guard Josh Hart (16 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists) helped Nova to the win. Sophomore guard Lamarr Kimble led Saint Joe’s with 14 points, four rebounds and four assists. Nova goes to 8-0 and Saint Joe’s goes to 3-4.
No. 4 KANSAS 89 STANFORD 74
Kansas’s top player was senior guard Frank Mason III with 20 points, five assists and four rebounds. Junior forward Reid Travis scored 29 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Stanford. Kansas improves to 7-1, while Stanford moves to 6-3.

Thirty-five points and eight rebounds from sophomore guard Luke Kennard helped Duke to the win. Junior guard Ilker Er picked up 20 points and five rebounds. Duke is now 8-1 and Maine drops to 2-6.

Nathan Adrian, a senior forward for West Virginia, scored 10 points, along five rebounds and four assists. Virginia’s top scorer was junior guard Darius Thompson with 14 points. West Virginia’s record is 6-1 and Virginia’s is now 7-1.

Baylor’s junior guard Manu Lecomte led his team with 24 points and five assists. Trevon Blueitt, Xavier’s junior guard, netted 23 points and seven rebounds to lead the team. Baylor stays undefeated at 8-0 while Xavier takes its first loss of the year, and is now 7-1.

Senior center Przemek Karnowski dropped 18 points, four rebounds and two blocks for the Bulldogs. Freshman guard Rawle Alkins put up 16 points and seven rebounds for Arizona. The Bulldogs jump to 8-0 and the Wildcats fall to 6-2.

Marcus Foster, a junior guard, scored 27 points for Creighton and senior guard Maurice Watson Jr. had a double-double (14 points, 13 rebounds). Senior forward Kwan Cheatham Jr. led the Zips for the game with 17 points and seven rebounds. Creighton improves to 8-0 and Akron drops to 6-2.

Louisville’s Deng Adel, a sophomore forward, picked up 15 points and three rebounds. Grand Canyon’s senior guard DeWayne Russell led the way with 42 points, three rebounds and two assists. Louisville goes to 7-1 and Grand Canyon goes to 3-4.

Sophomore forward Caleb Swanigan got 13 points and nine rebounds to lead the Purdue. Morehead State’s Miguel Dicent, a junior guard, netted 11 points and added five assists for the team. Purdue jumps to 6-2 and Morehead State falls to 2-5.

Senior forward Nigel Hayes dropped 28 points, along with six assists for Wisconsin. Oklahoma’s leader was sophomore guard Rashard Odomes with 17 points. Wisconsin moves to 7-2, while Oklahoma falls to 5-2.

Kelan Martin, a junior forward, put up 30 points and grabbed six rebounds, complimented by a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds) from junior forward Tyler Wideman. Central Arkansas’ junior guard Jordan Howard dropped 20 points and grabbed six rebounds in the loss. Butler is 8-0 and Central Arkansas is 1-7.
PROVIDENCE 63 No. 21 RHODE ISLAND 60
Junior guard Kyron Cartwright scored 19 points and hauled in eight rebounds to lead Providence. Junior forward Emmitt Holt (Webster Schroeder) scored six points and grabbed five rebounds. Rhode Island was led by senior forward Hassan Martin, who picked up a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds. Providence jumps to 6-2, while Rhode Island drops to 5-3.

Graduate forward Andrew White III topped Syracuse with 26 points. Sophomore guard Frank Howard had a double-double (10 points, 13 assists). Wajid Aminu, a freshman forward, may have had a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds), but senior guard Dallas Moore was North Florida’s best player with 30 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Syracuse improves to 5-2, while North Florida drops to 3-7.

Oregon had seven players in double digits for points, with sophomore guard Tyler Dorsey leading the pack with 29 points. Junior forward Kavell Bigby -Williams also contributed with 11 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. Sophomore guard Dexter McClanahan led Savannah State with 13 points. Oregon moves to 7-2, while Savannah State goes to 2-8.

Graduate forward Chinoso Obokoh (Bishop Kearney) did not play for St. Bonaventure. Redshirt sophomore guard Dontay Caruthers (East High) put up four points, along with five assists and five rebounds for Buffalo.

Freshman guard Quinton Rose (Bishop Kearney) dropped six points, collected three rebounds, an assist and a steal for Temple.
