No. 3 INDIANA 85 MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE 52
Sophomore center Thomas Bryant (Bishop Kearney) dropped a double-double for Indiana with 13 points and 11 rebounds while sophomore forward OG Anunoby put up 21 points. Senior guard Rashaan Surles led Mississippi Valley State with 14 points, followed by fellow senior guard Isaac Williams with 13. Indiana moves to 4-1 and Mississippi Valley State remains winless at 0-8.
No. 11 GONZAGA 73 No. 21 IOWA STATE 71
Gonzaga junior guard Nigel Williams-Goss led the team with 18 points, four rebounds and four assists to help them win the Advocare Invitational. Iowa State senior guard Deonte Burton dropped a double-double in the loss with 29 points and 12 rebounds. Gonzaga improves to 6-0 and Iowa State falls to 5-1.
No. 14 UCLA 74 TEXAS A&M 67
Lonzo Ball, a freshman guard for UCLA, was the team’s top performer with 16 points and 10 assists for a double-double. Texas A&M’s top performer was sophomore center Tyler Davis with 16 points and eight rebounds. UCLA goes to 7-0, while Texas A&M drops to 4-2.
No. 15 SAINT MARY’S 76 UAB 63
Junior center Jock Landale fueled his team with 20 points and eight rebounds, along with a pair of assists. UAB’s junior forward Chris Cokley picked up 20 points and five rebounds to lead his team in scoring. Saint Mary’s jumps to 5-0 and UAB evens out at 3-3.
No. 16 WISCONSIN 95 PRAIRIE VIEW A&M 50
Senior forward Nigel Hayes led Wisconsin in points with 17, and sophomore forward Ethan Happ did his part with a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Junior forward Zachary Hamilton led Prairie View A&M in points with 15. Wisconsin improves to 5-2 and Prairie View A&M falls to 2-5.
