Love was just three points shy of the league record for points in any quarter, as Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson dropped 37 points in the third quarter on Jan. 23, 2015. LeBron James finished with his 44th career triple-double – 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists. King James also passed Guy Rodgers for 17th place on the all-time assist list. Portland’s Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum (Lehigh) chipped in with 40 and 13 points, respectively.

BROOKLYN – Boston’s backcourt duo Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley paced the Celtics with 23 and 22 points, respectively, to give Brooklyn their fifth straight loss. Sean Kilpatrick led the Nets with 23 points off the bench. Trevor Booker added a double-double – 18 points and 12 rebounds.

PHILADELPHIA – Mike Conley flirted with a triple-double with 25 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists to give the Grizzlies the victory in double-overtime. Marc Gasol led all scorers with 27 points. Troy Daniels (VCU) added six points.

CHARLOTTE – Kawhi Leonard dropped 30 points, and LaMarcus Aldridge added 23 points and seven rebounds to give the Spurs their seventh straight victory. Charlotte’s Kemba Walker scored 26 points, grabbed nine boards, and handed out seven assists. San Antonio remains undefeated on the road at 8-0.

ORLANDO – Alex Len posted a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Eric Bledsoe added 16 points and nine boards. Orlando’s Nikola Vucevic posted a double-double of his own – 21 points and 13 rebounds. The Suns held the Magic to just 36 percent from the field, and 27 percent from behind the arc.

INDIANAPOLIS – Dwight Howard scored 23 points and grabbed 20 rebounds to lead Atlanta to the road victory. Paul Millsap added 18 points and 11 rebounds. Mike Muscala (Bucknell) dropped 13 points. Indiana’s Thaddeus Young finished with 24 points and seven rebounds. The victory snaps Atlanta’s three-game losing streak.

DETROIT – Andre Drummond dropped 18 points and hauled in 15 rebounds to help the Pistons end their four-game skid. The Mount Vernon, NY native also had four blocks and four steals. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led all scorers with 22 points off the bench.

HOUSTON – DeMar DeRozan had 24 points to help the Raptors end a nine-game losing streak in Houston. Kyle Lowry scored 17 points and handed out nine assists. Jonas Valanciunas chipped in with 15 points and 16 rebounds. Houston’s James Harden put up 29 points and dished out 15 dimes.

DALLAS – Austin Rivers and Chris Paul paced the Clippers to the road victory with 22 and 18 points, respectively. DeAndre Jordan, who nearly signed with Dallas in the 2015 offseason, shook off some boos and added 16 points and eight boards. Harrison Barnes led the Mavs with 22 points. Dirk Nowitzki, who missed the last eight games with a strained left Achilles tendon, scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds in 20 minutes of action.

SALT LAKE CITY – Gordon Hayward and George Hill led the Jazz to the victory with 22 points apiece. Hayward also dished out seven assists. Rudy Gobert added 19 points and 13 rebounds. Jamal Murray led Denver with 23 points off the pine.

OAKLAND – Stephen Curry dropped 31 points (7-for-12 3-PT) and dished out nine assists to give the Dubs the blowout victory in front of their home crowd. Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson added 28 and 26 points, respectively. Brandon Ingram, Jordan Clarkson, and Lou Williams each chipped in with 16 points apiece for the Lakers. The Warriors handed out a franchise-record 47 assists.
