UNC’s bigs lead them over Chaminade

#4 NORTH CAROLINA 104 CHAMINADE 61

The Tar Heels got a double-double, 20 points and 10 rebounds, from senior forward Kennedy Meeks and 22 points from senior forward Isaiah Hicks. Chaminade saw senior guard Rohndell Goodwin score 18 points and grab three rebounds. UNC improves to 5-0 and Chaminade moves to 2-1.

#5 KANSAS 83 UAB 63

Josh Jackson, a freshman guard, had 22 points, seven rebounds and three assists for Kansas. Senior forward Tosin Mehinti nearly had a double-double, 10 points and nine rebounds, for UAB. Kansas moves to 3-1 and UAB sits at 2-2.

#10 ARIZONA 71 NORTHERN COLORADO 55

Freshman forward Lauri Markkanen had a double-double, 17 points and 13 rebounds, to pace the Wildcats. Northern Colorado’s sophomore guard Jordan Davis had 20 points, five assists and three rebounds. Arizona improves to 4-0, while Northern Colorado drops to 1-3.

Co-#12 CREIGHTON 86 OLE MISS 77

Junior guard Marcus Foster scored 25 points, along with six rebounds and three assists to lead Creighton. Ole Miss got a pair of 22 point performances from junior guard Deandre Burnett and senior guard Rasheed Brooks. Creighton is now 5-0 and Ole Miss is 4-1.

GEORGETOWN 65 Co-#12 OREGON 61

Senior guard Rodney Pryor fueled the upset netting 26 points and corralling 10 rebounds for a double-double. Oregon’s top scorer was freshman guard Payton Pritchard with 18 points and four steals off the bench. Both team’s overall record now moves to 2-2.

#16 WISCONSIN 74 TENNESSEE 62

Senior forward Nigel Hayes was the top performer for Wisconsin with a double-double, 17 points and 10 rebounds. Tennessee was led by sophomore guard Shembari Phillips with 16 points and two rebounds. Wisconsin improves to 3-1 and Tennessee drops to 1-2.

NORTHWESTERN 77 #22 TEXAS 58

Junior guard Bryant McIntosh led Northwestern with 20 points and sophomore center Dererk Pardon had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore guard Tevin Mack topped the Longhorns with 18 points and four rebounds. Both teams go to 3-1 on the season.

Graduate forward Chinonso Obokoh (Bishop Kearney) had two points and one rebound.

VERMONT 60 WOFFORD 59

Freshman forward Anthony Lamb (Greece Athena) had six points and seven rebounds for Vermont.

PROVIDENCE 64 SAINT FRANCIS (BKN) 48

Junior forward Emmitt Holt (Webster Schroeder) did not play.
