Results from Thursday night’s NBA action.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS 119 NEW YORK KNICKS 112

WASHINGTON – John Wall scored 23 points and dished out 11 assists to lead Washington past New York. The former Kentucky Wildcat played in back-to-back games for the first time since his knee surgery in May. Derrick Rose led all scorers with 27 points.

MIAMI HEAT 96 MILWAUKEE BUCKS 73

MIAMI – Dion Waiters scored 23 points to help Miami snap a six-game losing streak. Hassan Whiteside added 12 points, 17 rebounds, and a whopping eight blocks.

HOUSTON ROCKETS 126 PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS 109

HOUSTON – James Harden scored 26 points, dished out 14 assists, and grabbed 12 rebounds for his third triple-double of the young season. Trevor Ariza and Ryan Anderson each added 16 and 13 points, respectively.

MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES 110 PHILADELPHIA 76ers 86

MINNEAPOLIS – Andrew Wiggins had 35 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Wolves to a blowout victory over the Sixers. Karl-Anthony Towns contributed with 25 points and 10 boards. Philadelphia has lost 21 straight road games.

CHICAGO BULLS 85 UTAH JAZZ 77

SALT LATE CITY – Jimmy Butler scored 20 points and hauled in 12 rebounds to give the Bulls the road victory. Robin Lopez posted a double-double of his own, scoring 10 points and grabbing 12 boards. Dwyane Wade added 18 points. Chicago has won four straight games.
